      Congratulations! These Velcro swaddles are pretty easy to use, we found it helpful to practice on a doll.

      I’m glad you found the video helpful. You can also cross their arms across their chest, but I find that if I do that, they instantly break out of the swaddle.

      😊- We had similar fun with our oldest and these swaddles. A double blanket swaddle ended up working best. We went through trial and error finding the best swaddle for each baby.

      Our first baby was like that with the Velcro swaddles. I liked using a double blanket swaddle with her, but you could also try the SwaddleUp, which is zipped up, so they are unlikely to be able to break out like that. Or maybe your baby has a future career in magic. 😁

    Lmaoooo in five minutes he’s gonna have his arms through the bottom and the swaddle will be over his face. Stopped using the Velcro ones because of this.

      I’m sorry to hear that. I have several of these, and some are definitely better than others. However, if Velcro swaddles aren’t working for you, you might want to try the Swaddle Up, which uses a zipper. Here’s a video about it: Need Help Choosing Baby Wrap - Baby Swaddle - 1st Upload - What do you think?

      With my first, I found that blanket swaddles worked best, and I used this method that I learned at the hospital: Baby Swaddle Comparison - Blanket Swaddle - Velcro Next

      I got this as a hand-me-down several years ago, but it’s by Aden + Anais. I don’t know if they have made changes, but I’d imagine this would be the same: a.co/d/cLeiiXQ

    😅 y not do it the traditional way

    • @familyexperience
      @familyexperience  Месяц назад

      Great question! The main reason to use the Velcro swaddle is that it’s more secure, so you’re not risking having a loose blanket in the bassinet with your baby, which is a suffocation hazard.
      It’s also easier to use, especially when you’re first staring out. Since the Velcro is only in specific spots, there is less of a learning curve.

    • @familyexperience
      @familyexperience  Месяц назад

      That being said, I also like the traditional way, especially if you were gifted a lot of swaddle blankets. I actually have a video on how to do a blanket swaddle (link at the end of this comment), although it’s still not the traditional “up, down, up, down” method. This is the method I learned at the hospital with my first baby, so I wanted to share it, as I found it was not as easily available as an instructional video.

    Do you guys really thing babies like being wrapped up like legit mummies???

    • @familyexperience
      @familyexperience  4 месяца назад +1

      Lol. Believe it or not, my experience has been that they do. They’re very cramped in the womb, so wrapping them like this mimics what they’re used to. Not all babies like it, but mine have all slept really well when swaddled.
