    Your conch is the thickest cartilage in your ear, and it takes 6months to a year to fully heal, if it looks like it's healed on the outside it might not be healed on the inside!

  • @valerievdlooy8106
    @valerievdlooy8106 6 лет назад +71

    Please be careful! It might look and feel like it's healed, but piercings, especially conch piercings take a lot of time to heal internally. Clean it daily and make sure to not touch it when it isn't necessary! The healing time for any piercing is between the 6 and 9 months, and for a conch piercing even 9 months to a year!

  • @laurak7618

    I got my conch pierced about a month ago, and the first three weeks it didn't hurt at all. And I also thought it was completely healed. I was very wrong because last week my ear started hurting really bad, my ear got swollen and started throbbing a lot. It is still quite painful, especially when it's touched. I do disinfect it every day with sea salt and the swelling has gone down a bit but it is still quite tender and sensitive. The healing process for a conch is about 6 months to a year, so I'm not surprised. But even after the piercing doesn't hurt a lot, it isn't fully healed internally!

    I got my conch yesterday in both my ears... Pain level i can say was 5...yea it does hurt when its happening.. Once done it feels ok. I assume it wud take a lot of time to heal... Coz it took around 8 months for my Tragus heal. Gold or silver rings are the best ring options till it heals completely.

    I just got my conch piercing done 5 days ago and I love the look. I can’t wait to change it to a hoop. However, I’ve had many other piercings (industrial, nose, nipples, etc) and for whatever reason this one hurt the most. & it is incredibly sore and sensitive. not infected, no bumps or crusties, so that’s good at least.

One thing I’ve realized is that in the first month is does feel healed, but avoid touching it until like 3 months. Mine got alittle infected but it healed so easy. The conch is ranked one of the most painful piercings, #2 on the pain scale! (Obviously behind nipples, and not including genitalia.)

    if you got a piercing from 1 to around 3 or 4 months ago, and you THINK it has healed, IT HAS NOT HEALED. Treat it like a baby and please please dont touch it at all for the first 6 months for your own sanity (own experience) :D piercings tend to heal from the outside first and then inside. So it might look like its fine while in fact its in last stages of healing but still very vulnerable

      Wait what ? I paid 30 € but that was because I had it done on an island which is full of tourism so that means that they charged me more than they usually charge in the winter. I'm shooketh and I was the one complaining about the 30 €..

      hehe ok-.thats why i pierce myself but just piercing that i can do by my own like ear, tongue web that stuff . Its not a big deal . And it healed well maybe its not perfect but i mean there are so many piercer outside and they are worse then me so yee. No one would ever gues that i did it by myself but i mean sure ppl can go to a piercer they are professional but it does cost . i think 30 euro are rly fair price :) .

      I wouldn’t - I’d use a tragus bar X

      I got it done years and years ago but not really, I’d say my rook was more painful but the conch and tragus was similar 🙂

    I'm 13 and I have 4 piercings, lobes, helix, belly button, and I would like to get my rook. A lot of my friends don't like body modifications but I think they're really pretty. A lot of people don't like it, even though they aren't getting it, and they aren't being nice to me because of it Any advice on that Ps love this video you're so beautiful.

      Heidi Collins-Beckett You should get it done. I got mine in November of last year and it hurt less than everyone said it would. I've gotten lots of compliments on it. So maybe your friends might like how some of your piercings look and decide to try it out eventually.

      Do what you want to do, don't listen to others!
      I'm 30, have my own job and still my mum tries to make me regret getting piercings. I've 11 piercings, but I like them. I've spent my own money and it's my body. That's how I think of it.
      But yeah If you like whatever, that's tough luck on those who don't like it. :)

      Don't worry about it hon, I was 14 when I got my lip pierced and everyone said I would regret it, years later and a few more piercings and I still love it and if I end up taking it out one day, I still won't regret it cause it was who I am at 14, don't worry about what they say and if you parents let you get them there is no problem, piercings are just another way to express yourself
