I don’t like that the developers in some places made the weapon reload as if it were Call of Duty with such a show-off, for example, it reloads a machine gun very quickly as if it were a professional gunsmith, and it reloads other guns very slowly, especially shotguns. Animators had to agree on who the main character was, a cool action hero or a more cautious stalker.
The sound! Echo from the gun is one of ths best things I've heard. Machine gun echo especially. It sounds exactly like distant automatic fire with that lower note ra-ta-ta. Great job sound guys!
Chamber-loading with fixed-tube guns! So awesome to see that in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.verse! That should be the standard from now on. Can't say I'm a big fan of all these mag-ditching reload animations, Wick flicks, and Spetsnaz reloads being done in non-emergency situations. Emergency reloads are called that for a reason and are only meant to be done under specific circumstances. They're an atypical technique, not standard procedure. Edit/Note: Mag retention is always preferred (which is why European-style pistols have heel releases).
Say what you will about CoD, but if there's one aspect where their latest games are second to none - it's weapon animations. Here's hoping modders could bring some of the less snappy ones here (the rest are already great!) up to par, similar to many Fallout mods.
Modern COD animations are meant for the ADHD zoomers that make up the current COD fanbase so they can stim even more while they play. Can't deny they're well animated though.

Same here, brother. I'm stuck with a 3050 Ti laptop. At first, I thought my laptop could handle this game a little, but nope. The VRAM memory leak this game causes drops my FPS from 40-60 to just 5 within a minute of gameplay. Restarting the game doesn’t help. I’m very sad right now.
I will be honest, some of these reload are missing some sauce. Like the AK74u, that is a pretty real reload. Like you might do something similar in real life, but with how slow it is? Like damn man. With all the creatures around, you'd think they would try to not take too long reloading haha.
damn it kinda looks like they have a bunch of different people working on the models no? some of the weapon models were pretty bad with the textures looking like a 2010 game while others were crisp and had proper modelling work done to it. that mp5 ish gun was cursed tho bringing back the early 2000's fps weapons where the casing ejects in your face
I dont know how I feel about this game, the reason I love stalker is because of the xray engines atmosphere and textures and stuff, and now I feel thats missing in turn for ue5.
Plus there's really no point in going for some "next gen graphic" if the game will run like a powerpoint on most rigs, especially when the main audiences of the series are some east european dudes playing on their toaster PCs
I kind of disagree with them being mid. Considering it’s not really a AAA studio and development during an actual war, these are pretty good animations. But also to compare them to likes if Battlefield 2042, these easily take the cake

When i first got one, it appeared in the bottom left of my weapon wheel. Once you have it on you, just press the right trigger to throw and left trigger to underhand throw.

@@zheka7823 ну просто там арсенал пистолетов будем честны вообще никому и даром не сдался) а тут очень много оружия (не видов, а уникального, как пример личные калаш которые за квесты дают или можно найти в тайниках, которое отличается не только названием, а и своим видом в целом) да и разнообразие тоже есть. Скорее всего человек показал только пушки которые только на начальных локах найти можно и то далеко не все, ведь чтобы уникальную найти - надо запарится.
@@zheka7823 просто я вот вчера как играл, в начальной деревне нашел 2 пистолета ПТМ (фиг знает что это, но похоже на тт) и один из них черный абсолютно, ну типичный тт с бо́льшим уроном и плохой точностью, а второй ПТМ "монолит" модель та же, но сделан он как личное оружие офицера монолита какого-то, молитва на рукояти, цвет серый с зелёными вкраплениями, эмблема монолита и планка верхняя странная не понятная, вот у него точность больше, отдача меньше, но и урон меньше. Это можно сказать 2 разных пистолета. И таких ситуаций как с этими ПТМ очень много, так что расстраиваться не стоит

I honestly think they should have hired literally any of the modders that animate weapons for any of the original games or Anomaly, sounds and animations are kinda horrifically bad and not satisfying at all, have not seen 1 good animation yet

Because then it would not fit STALKER's combat design. You speed up the animations too much, and you make combat insanely trivial and more befitting for an Arena shooter. Also it would make Skif look like he's high on 12 cans of Red Bull all the time. Doesn't fit the character of a "Nobody STALKER"
@ I don’t see how that will break stalker’s game design since Blindside literally made one of the best animation mods for older stalker games and those animations are no where near fast, what I’m saying is stalker2’s reloads seems to be animated with normal speed at first but slowed down later in production similar to sandstorm, which creates a weird animation pacing.
I noticed there's a slight pause before reloading. Are the weapons auto reload when empty? Or we need to press a button each time we want to reload, regardless if the weapon empty or not?

There's some delay, I think you should press the shoot button or reload once is empty
