Hubby/I go to a flea market twice a year, its 1 1/2 hour South. Yesterday we found a 1930's square Planters Peanut jar. I have several old "drug store" jars & just love them. I couldn't believe the price the vendor let me have it for. He said he could see how much I appreciated it. It isnt perfect, 2 small "flea bites'but it's almost 100 years old!!!! ❤❤❤❤
It is so fun and educational when you take us along on your trips. My husband and I went to the Shipshewana flea market 18 years ago, I never knew about the antique auctions, though! I love blue, so that decanter is gorgeous in my eyes. I am so glad you got the glowy glass shakers to add to your collection. Tater made 2 cameo appearances! I loved it when Chris told you to stick your finger in the beaters. My husband says stuff like that all the time. I hope you are ought collecting. Thank you so much for your frequent content. This channel is my happy place after work!❤️
I have boxes of Shiny Bright tree ornaments that I bought in 1970 for my first tree after I got married. I also have a number of ornaments that I got from my great aunt dating back to 1950's and before. I treasure them.
Goodies, goodies, every where! Beautiful places, so many neat things. Love the haul, can't wait to see the shiny bright bulbs looks on the tree. You guys always have a good time, so nice you get to go together. God Bless. Hugsx2. Rebekah

I’ve sorted them out and have some saved for you. They have the stoneware stamp on the bottom. Let me know when I can bring them to you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am in Greenville, SC, with no electricity due to hurricane Helene. I decided after sitting in silence all day, I deserved a dose of Ginger Chick. You find the beat stuff! My parents had a small 2 foot-ish tinsel tree. In 1976, our Bicentennial, my mom decorated her tree with red and blue tiny bulbs. Even now, I remember that tree and think about how pretty it was!
Hi Yvonne&Chris We love going along with you!Hubby is getting into watching with me since he subscribed!😂 Tater reminds me of my MIL Kitty,Bella. ..she has to check out everything!!so much fun!! TFS!!😻😹🖤🧡💛🌻

I'm not sure how i missed this 3 weeks ago. I, too, collect jadeite (and milk glass). It all started with my mom's mixing bowls. Today, as i was doing a deep clean, i broke a plate. Clean break, triangle shape. I was thinking i could glue it with E6000. Thoughts anyone? Clearly, it wouldn't be food safe. Love your adventures!
that looked like a Ken Edwards mexican pottery bird...not sure.. but that would of been a good deal at 3.00 if it was.. I just discovered his work..and love them
Those lines on your Jadeite is because back in the 30's they put the hot glass on straw to cool. They are straw marks. You'll find it a on a lot of McKee and Jeannette as well.
@@GingerChickRehab it is fun going there and there is Strawtown , known for its flea markets . It’s in Noblesville and it’s been around a long time. They are on Facebook too! 😀

I gut rid of most of them years ago. I had the elf holding his knees felt ornament. I hope I didn’t get rid of him. I always thought he was cute. I like birds since I was named after one. I also like dogs and cats. I had some really nice colored glass years ago. Some were tall decanters. I had an Aunt Jemima one. I loved her. (I’m mixed. My husband is black, so relax if you were about to be triggered. 😂) but when I moved and got rid of my China closet I donated almost everything. Our house was too small so I had nowhere to keep it. Sometimes that happens when you get divorced. 😢

Thank you for sharing your shopping trip. If you don’t mind me asking, Where did you get the ironstone shirt?
Looking over your shoulder I could see the beautiful swan. Have you considered placing a doily of some kind under him?
