    I love him in Dresden Files.

    He's awesome at reading and paints vivid pictures of the Dresden world. Oddly I find it hard to put his face to his own voice when he reads. He does such a great job though.

      I discovered the awesomeness that is _The Dresden Files_ simply by looking at what other work James had done, after _really_ enjoying him as Spike. Because of that my mind's Harry will always a dark haired Spike.
      Oh, and James would have made for an _amazing_ Harry in the TV show. But that was _so_ bad, I'm kinda thankful they didn't cast him in that train wreck.

      Άλκης Δ. Same here. I also imagine Spike as Harry, only with dark hair. I can't even picture anyone else as Harry.. The ONLY reason I started listening to Dresden was because I had finished watching Buffy and Was missing Spike so badly.

    Thanks for this. Enjoy reading J. Butcher very much. Listening to James Marsters do the audiobook improves the story for me ten-fold. His voice is like listening to liquid chocolate.

      He can pull of the quintessential noir narrator voice. However, he does make a lot of mistakes (totally butchers anything in Latin), which is why I prefer reading the books first and listening to the audiobooks later.

    • @DMofPuppets
      @DMofPuppets 7 лет назад +4

      Άλκης Δ. See, for me, It makes perfect sense. Because Harry butchers Latin as well.

    • @rosemariehathaway5056
      @rosemariehathaway5056 6 лет назад

      Jessy Starr I don't know Latin so I never noticed it but I can see Dresden making those mistakes because he is so bad at it..

    I found Vampire Empire by chance. And I was blown away by the fact it was James Marsters. But then I couldn't get enough. So I started listening the Dresden Files. Now I'm an addict. And I have to wait for the next book to come out D:

    It is a character in the Vampire Empire series written by Clay and Susan Griffith. Buzzy Multimedia produces the audiobooks with James narrating the trilogy. The first and second audiobooks have already been released and are now available. The third one was very recently recorded and will be a while yet before it is out. The 'mojo jo jo' sounding character is in the last two books. It is a great series! :)

    Sorry so long to reply...I replied previously to turbotj...The first book is called "The Greyfriar". The trilogy is written by Clay and Susan Griffith. Buzzy Multimedia produces the audiobooks and sells them. It is a really fun series...I truly enjoyed the characters and their story quite a bit. The second book is "The Rift Walker" and the third is "The Kingmakers"

      Syr456 The first 2 books he narrates, you can tell he's still finding his voices(s). By book 3 he's got it and like mentioned, they get infinitely better.

      iirc book 3 or 4 and beyond was produced by a different company and the quality is much better. i had the same problem with the first few books. you can hear all the lip smacking and breathing and whatnot.

    This was great. I am sorry but, I like him better in the fourteenth novel. Glover was better in book thirteen. In my opinion he should have been reading the whole series and, not Marsters.

    • @johnlavery3433
      @johnlavery3433 6 лет назад +2

      Glover wasn't popular, they literally had to bring marsters in to do ghost story so they'd never have to acknowledge again

  • @Gairuntee

    James Marsters is the best thing to happen to Jim Butchers urban fantasy novels evah. Butcher is so dull and predictable the books really boring. But Marsters as narrator makes that poopy pile fly like a humming bird.
