I’m so glad you were willing, that your eyes and heart were open to see the difference! Often it is religious pride (and God hates pride, especially the stubborn and the religious variety) that has kept many in darkness, unwilling to simply look and see, unwilling to hear. Glad you are free of all that!
So many people stubbornly will not look amd see the idolatry, the theft of the power and authority Jesus Christ gave to ALL (not special leaders-only, as some teach) who follow after him. Jesus said that ALL who follow after him will do as he did...and...even greater, yes, greater things. He expects us all to do so, not just be bench warmers when there’s a spiritual battle going on, and he taught his disciples, so they could teach the world, how to fight it on alll fronts...after putting on the full armor of God, of course.
The Bible doesn’t stop at “we wrestle not”. It says “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places“...
Jesus Christ came to give us salvation, but he also came to teach about God so that we would know The Father here and right now, and to teach us to battle (not sit around, waiting for Jesus to come fix it all, not to beg for something he said he’s already given to us (all needs are met, and so forth, but we do have to open the door and receive them) when he taught, and empowered, and authorized, and commanded us to take action ourselves) how to gear up, and battle the dark forces here...on a spiritual level.
And since Jesus said that *everyone* who follows after him will do as he did, well, he did talk to people about The Father, and he also cleansed the lepers, healed the sick, raised the dead, and cast out demons. And he taught us that time and distance are no obstacle. The Four Gospels carefully choose and give us a broad range of everything that’s possible. John tells us that if everything Jesus did was written down, the word could not hold all the books.
So, this lets us know that they carefully chose a variety of examples to demonstrate all the possibilities that we can also do, that things like time and space are irrelevant in cleansing lepers, healing the sick, raising the dead, or casting out demons, God’s hand is not shortened. He can and He will (God is not a liar, so He gives us parameters and they’re uncomplicated, and He WILL do as He promised, it’s up to us to read and learn His simplicity in His requirements, and not complicate it), demonstrating that anyone could come and demand healing, that such a demand was an act of faith, not “bossing God around”, but rather a claiming of a right that He said that we already have. Lazarus was dead and buried, beginning to rot, but Jesus raised him. This was a good example of time not mattering in raising the dead. In their culture, and it still happens today that sometimes people come back to life within three days of dying, that is why Jesus waited for the fourth day, so no one could be dismissive about it being the work of God.
And in the Old Testament and New Testament both, God makes it clear that it doesn’t matter how long someone has been dead, with God, even dried bones can be risen. So how did Jesus do it? He thanked the Lord and that prayer is written, and he had the people do their act of faith by rolling away the stone (Both the Old Testament and New Testament show that acts of faith precede miracles, and thanks ahead of and after are in order, we don’t take God for granted, to Him goes the glory, And the more glory we give Him the more we will see miracles in our lives because He is looking for ways to show the world who He is, and we help point them out, just like Jesus’s disciples did.
And finally, he called Lazarus to come forth-and again, he commanded the people to do something to participate in the miracle, to unwrap his burial wrappings. All throughout the Bible, the miracles required human agreement and participation, an act of faith on the part of the human involved. Obeying God, especially when it seems impossible or ridiculous to others, that’s when miracles happen...and I think the reason God does that is so that people can’t be dismissive that it was indeed God who saved the day. He is trying to get through the thick heads and hearts and ears and eyes of people.
And then we are to go tell people what God has done for us. (In the spirit of doing that, He has absolutely saved my life on more than one occasion, definite miracle, no other explanation kind of stuff. God is great, and if we let Him, He Is the great choreographer and will absolutely orchestrate an amazing life for anyone who lets Him do so (free will, He has to honor that, even when people stand in His way of helping them).
That was In modern times, now, people have commanded death to leave their loved ones, and have commanded them to get up, and it is still working... so many people want to say that God isn’t performing miracles God has never stopped performing miracles. God is unchanging. He enjoys showing people how much He loves them when they show him how much they believe in Him, that He is The Father who actually loves and cares about them. He says “I am the God that health thee!” I love that.
Jesus said to go make disciples of them all that means all of us. It doesn’t mean some of us, it means all of us. We are all part of God’s Army. 😊 No position too small, all are important. And the best army ever risen up is God’s Army.
These weren’t just interesting stories about Jesus, these were examples of what he expects from ALL those who follow after him. These aren’t guesses, they’re things he said himself. Direct quotes.

The older I get the more I realize what a selfish prideful person I have been. I've lived a life feeling so sorry for myself that I have justified every bad deed. Don't get me wrong sure I've been through some things but God please forgive me... I don't want to live a life of pride and self pity. I want to live the rest of my life serving God to the best of my ability. I want a true honest relationship with my Lord and Savior. I'm having coffee and chatting 1 night and THE spirit of the LORD came upon me, I JUST filled 21/2 gallon of gas for the lawn mower and I was told by the spirit to go to a major hwy, So I did, A man was sitting BROKE down in his truck,Bible on the seat PRAYING FOR THE LORD God almighty to help him, I pulled over WALKED to HIS truck, He exclaimed YOUR AN ANGEL SENT BY GOD, I put the gas in HIS TRUCK TOLD him to HOLD the pedal to THE floor and start IT, YES FRIENDS, SISTER'S AND BROTHERS THIS IS HOW THE LORD WORKS, I WENT HOME WITH NO GAS, MY LADY FRIEND WAS PISSED AND I TOLD HER THIS STORY A FEW DAYS LATER SHE UNDERSTOOD, AND I WAITED TILL NEXT PAYDAY TO GET THE GAS FOR THE LAWN, TAKE THAT LEAP OF FAITH WHEN GOD CALLS, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF THE REST, WE DON'T BELIEVE IN MIRACLES WE RELY UPON THEM, GODBLESS U ALL AND THIS PASTOR, HE IS RIGHTEOUS

One day going home i got off on the wrong exit for no apparent reason.
I stopped in the convenience store to notice there was a guy needing a boost to restart his scooter. After doing so and talking I learned he was praying for three hours for someone to come and help him.
I told him how i have gotten off the wrong exit, but now i know why.

I know he telling the truth about God's long suffering, I'm 55yrs old a Christian I have been doing some sinful stuff a many years now. But God finally put the brakes on my sins and exposed them to me, I lost my job over these things but I'm so humbled I didnt lose my salvation or God's grace and mercy.

I was recently talking to a close friend and she expressed how she is running out of patience because things are not working in her favor, I told her to just wait on the Lord, be patient but she was not trying to hear that. I told her you cannot force God to move when you want him to, he is a God of order and timing, I said if you move on your own then you are operating outside of his will and you might not like what the consequences may be. Just be patient and wait on God.Great Message!

The Lord is quick to forgive. He already forgiven you, because you asked Him to. Remember, you only need to go to God, not to some human person, for God to forgive you. Then turn away from whatever it was. Ask for His help in staying away from it if it still is a temptation.
We are also instructed to make things right with the people with whom we have conflict if we can (they are not always willing participants, just if we can, we make our attempt). In fact, before we come to the father for a request and to thank him and thanking him should come before requests, and asking forgiveness should come before that, so-it’s better to ask God every day, preferably in the moment whenever you catch yourself offending God, immediately ask His forgiveness and correct yourself, ask His help in not doing whatever it is, Then honor him, not superficially really think about what he does for you every day, And sincerely thank him, for keeping breath in your lungs and everything else she does for you...
Then tell him that desires of your heart, because he asked you to, and because Jesus said God already knows about your needs, He meets the needs of the flowers and the birds, so he certainly intends to meet yours, We should be getting to a state of receiving from Him, which is really what the kingdom of God is about. The kingdom of heaven is heaven, and the kingdom of God is how the world is supposed to work here, if we choose his playbook, not the various ones the world uses. All through the Bible, God teaches us how to be blessed. And one way of many is to not come to Him with offerings until we’ve settled disputes as best we can, then we cast ALL our cares upon Him and turn them over.
God cannot fix our problems if we are still tinkering with them ourselves, fussing and worrying and not trusting His help. I think of a little child with a broken toy who won’t just hand it over to daddy and let daddy fix it for them.
One of God’s titles is the word for “daddy”. He is all powerful, He is to be honored and respected, He is Lord over all that is...and He is also our daddy, and He really does just want us to do our best and then if we cannot, then we let Him make things right, just like any parent with a child, you don’t want them to become lazy and incompetent by not trying to do anything, but when it’s something they cannot do you want them to just let you do it so it gets done right and everyone can move forward.
I noticed that the people who are most successful in life include God 24/7 in all their decisions, (Not the ones merely pretending to serve God who are really serving Satan and have superficial success. Those people may be very rich here, but are part of the oppression system, etc., and when they’re dead, the public works they did so people would overlook or not even seek and know of their crimes against humanity, their subtle manipulation of the masses, their charities while they lead people to all manner of sins, or simply away from turning to God, or giving them a counterfeit God, one that makes them earn things that Jesus already paid for, or a big one right now, teaching people that they can become their own gods, teaching them to become “self-reliant”, that sounds like the best thing to the masses, but really it is insulting God.
No one is self-reliant and independent of God, and the day People get what they insisted they wanted, complete separation from God is going to be instantaneous terror, because to be fully cut off from God is to be nowhere, and have no access to anything good. They have no idea how much God is keeping true evil to a minimum compared to all that could be. Christians haven’t been donning their full armor of God and going into spiritual battle as we have been instructed to do, at least nor remotely to level they’ve been told to do, they’ve been at .0000001%, They perish for lack of knowledge, and for lack of claiming their authority and exercising it...and the rest of the world brings curses on themselves, even Christians do, again, because they aren’t learning and following what God taught about not bringing a curse upon oneself and one’s generations, and how to fix them when they do get brought on themselves.
What is very interesting is geneticist are finding that indeed, certain crimes do create genetic mutations that last for a certain number of generations. It does affect your DNA to sin, and it does get passed down. And there are ways to clear it, heal it. And the Bible said so all along.
So. If you want things right in your life, God forgives you immediately, go make it right with as many people as you can, and They are after go boldly before the throne of God, always showing yourself clean, Which means not holding malice in your heart against anyone, correct anything you’ve done against others to the best of your ability, then properly thanking Him, then sit at His feet and converse with Him, or fall at His feet, or hop in His lap if it’s been that kind of day...And keep in conversation with him all day long, because the great men and women of the Bible did that. And that keeps them more blessed than others. It’s hard to do things that offend God nearly as much if you keep Him along for the ride, if you’ve invited Him to abide IN you. He will change you.
So, forgiving others, this has nothing to do with obtaining God’s forgiveness or our salvation--Jesus already paid for our Salvation and for our health insurance (“by his stripes we were healed”, that is past tense, done deal, paid for, we learn to receive it and we get it...the scourging prior to the Crucifixion paid for that). We are instructed to do so, so that life will run more smoothly and we can be blessed. So God can bless us. And obviously, we do it to obey, and because it heals others and therefore the world. It always pays to obey God. Always.
God can take what the enemy meant for evil and use it for good. Flee to the cross and start there. Maranatha

This was such a blessing to me. I have been oppressed in the last few years by sickness and troubles in my family. If somebody had told me these things were coming I would have laughed in their face. And these issues were the kind of things that easily knock most people, not just Christians, off their feet. That's what they did to me spiritually. Jeanette Cobb Well at least your pastor preaches similar to Lawson ,mines he doesn't want to talk about adultery ,fornicacion ect.In fact there's a couple of members and leaders who are in fornication and he said he has told them to get married but they won't. To me he should put them in discipline if they won't listen ,he's the pastor not them .Anyway in my church 95 to 98% won't want to hear a preacher like Lawson they just want to hear prosperity and only good things,you know the good ole ear tickling makes me sad.there's really no churches like Lawson here. Please pray so that we can find one at least similar.thanks

Great Sermon. It was like it was meant for me. I am seeking healing from terrible pain in my arm, neck and sciatica nerve. Plus regular type pain in my left knee. Also pertaining to the sermon; I was terribly abused by a parent who was mentally ill and abandoned by the other. I don’t hold stuff against anyone, and I am Thankful to God for that. There is nothing good in me that God did not put there. I had been thinking about the humbleness of Hezekiah, so that getting small before God really spoke to me too.
