Roc and Hard place

A short little story about when my players ran in to a Roc in Curse of Strahd.
The characters involved in this story were:
Braagh - Half-Orc Fighter
Malfeus - Tiefling Rogue

I was the rogue. It was traumatizing.
Equivalent maybe to when my barbarian failed on fairy dust (as seen in another video).
I guess one can surmise my characters are both really lucky and unlucky in the magic items they get XD

When my party went to the amber mountain, the roc stole our life cleric, we all panicked about it and figured she was lost, and continued to the temple, what we didnt know was the roc had stole the cleric to help her eggs, who had been struck ill. she healed the eggs and the roc flew her back. just as we were leaving the amber temple, the roc reappeared, we prepared to fight only to find our cleric riding the roc's back who clambered off and proceeded to explain the situation, as she big farewell to the roc, it dropped a horn golden horn out of its beak into the clerics hands, as we get to the castle to face Strahd, we were promptly battered into the corner, in a last ditch effort, the cleric blew the horn, and shattering through the stained glass window of Strahds throne room flew the Roc, and a few Roclings, who tore appart near all the undead, and a thick chunk of strahd too, enough time for our party to gather our senses, and for the cleric to plunge her sunsword into the beast, finishing him

Great story. I usually do give gargantuan creatures like Rocs legendary resistances and immunity to spells like polymorph because otherwise they are just too easy to deal with.
