Chris Titus is the IT guy that the IT guy calls.
Your debloating Windows 10 video was the first video of yours that I saw ever saw years back. It was a good video
"it's only 5 minutes long" - ahhhhh the goooooood old days of RUclips
Interesting how another youtuber once said the camera takes away about 20% of your dynamism and energy so you need to add that back in to make the video interesting. Definitely more dynamic today!
Holy Hannah! LOL
And to think I've been following you since about 2020. Looking forward to what the future brings.
Right, now in 5 years time you have to do an obligatory roast of the self-roast. It's internet-law sir and you must abide.
6 years of debloating Windows!
Windows to Linux, let's goooo!!! After the news of the Total Recall feature, and currently building a Proxmox homelab, I'm really considering Linux desktop again, if I can run my games there 😁
Why, do you already have a Copilot+ PC?
I just built my new desktop and put Windows 11 on it. My current processor does not have an NPU. But I might want to upgrade in the future. And even I don't, how can we really be sure that this Recall "feature" *ONLY* works on chips with NPUs?
@@gearspider It requires storage. You can put limits on your system drive space or monitor usage. Use secondary drives or sd cards for app storage and keep system drive minimal. Use simplewall to lock out unnecessary network activity.
Gaming on Linux is fantastic when playing single player games. Idk about online tho except for the anti cheat thing, i don't play online games much often
@@sebastiangonzales46 Linux in general is just less resource intensive, especially on memory, if you spend some time tweaking the setup. I mean, I want my boot to be 1G of RAM and not 3.2GiB (Windows). I remember with the utility I reduced memory usage from my setup on Windows by about 2GiB.
from that video to now sir i will never going to leav u u are amazing god bless u
I've learnt a lot from you Chris over the last couple of years, so much so I've been able to ditch Windoz all together!
You weren't always a Linux guy? You sure had me confused
yeah he made a Linux Journey type of videos back in 2018 i think
Need a video or inline clip on vin-wind (system wide vim for windows) please
Regardless I think we can all appreciate Chris Titus text efforts in trying to fight against the idiotic machine that is known as Microsoft but alas in the end facts don't care about anyone's feelings. And, it is a fact that until you get editing access to the windows core AKA kernel you're not stopping in the end in the long run Microsoft from data mining you selling that data without your permission or paying your rent as well as stopping you from having full control over what is supposed to be your computer
The only way to achieve your privacy at the local operating system level again and get full control over what is supposed to be your computer is to Nuke Windows disable quick startup AKA fast startup first both within the windows graphical as well as your UEFI bios nuke windows then install Linux
It wasn't 5 years ago 🥶
This would have been December 2018... so 5 years and about 6 months to be exact.
