  • In this video I am going to make “ Kasane Kobachi”, stacking pots with lids..
    In Japan we have a variety of dishes that are not only plates and bowls for eating off but also for food storage.
    These containers are for pickles and condiments etc.
    We keep them in the fridge and then bring them to the table as they are.
    It’s better than using plastic containers.

    I sometimes use a buff clay with brown grog specks in it so I'm definitely going to try the rings when trimming the bottom. Thanks!

      Thank you for your comment David😊 Your comment cheers me up!
      I stopped teaching now. I realized I want to use my time for my own ceramic creation. But I still want to share my experience so I have started RUclips. I hope more people start ceramic❤️

    Thank you for this wonderful video!! Just curious to ask why you don’t use pins on wheel head to easily place bats with holes to fit?

    • @AlchemyCeramic
      @AlchemyCeramic  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for your comment 😊. I have two pins on the wheel and these are for full size batt which I use for bigger pots and plats. These take space for drying process. If I use small batt I can make 20 instead of 10. So only matter of space.

    When you are firing
    the stacking jars, do you fire with lid on or seperate?

      Thank you for your question.😊 I fire the pot with lid on for most of my works.
