Stratford Ontario

This city used to be centered around a major railway repair yard but today relies on the Shakespeare Festival for survival. The red brick town hall was built in 1998 at the center of town. Thomas Edison briefly lived here in 1864 as a 17 year old telegraph operator.

There is a Stratford near me which also had a Shakespeare festival until a few years ago an arsonist burned down the theater.
