I have to admit, I was never much a fan of David Traber but when I listened to his comments at 49:13 I completely changed my mind. The man is obviously pretty cool. When he can come off a fresh loss on TV and then compliment his opponent and actually say it was a "pleasure just being on the show with him", that tells me all I need to know about him. David, I'm sorry for having misjudged you and today you have a new member of your fan club :)
The last ride for the Original Cranker. The man was center of my short attention span as a kid on Saturday afternoons, with Chris and Bo calling the action. Just an intimidating ass kicker.
1:13:04 you see one of those brilliant “feel” type of moves where Roth leaves a weak 8 pin on the previous shot and comes back in this one just ripping on the ball to make sure it finishes in the back end. Really cool to see his last title. A revolutionary player.
I modeled my bowling style after Mike Miller when I was a kid and to this day still bowl the same way. Decided to try bowling thumbless after watching Mike Miller shred the rack during a TV telecast and started bowling thumbless the following Saturday morning during league, around '96 or so. Took a while to build up the wrist strength to really crank the ball like he does, struggled to bowl above 130 for a couple months, stuck with it and practiced many times a week, ended up getting it down pretty well.

Super classy by David
Everyone knew this was Roths victory lap, and showed class and appreciation to a man that helped them all make bowling a living.
I used to talk to Dave a lot when I was younger and he’s a legit good dude.
