The key to the writtens is rote memorization. I got all 6 tests done before I even started training. Now I can spend 100% of my time studying for the oral exam.
This was definitely a great perspective. I'm currently studying for the written and decided to forgo flying until I get this thing done! Thanks for the advice.
Glad it was helpful!
Congratulations!
Congrats on the pass. A pass is a pass. Press-on.
Doing my final flight with my CFII today and hopefully he will sign me off.
Congrats! I’m choosing to do my primary training concurrent with my instrument training. Yes, it possible to be a newly minted private pilot with an instrument rating as long as you take both oral and practical exams at the same time.
Thats cool, I can see the value in that, there are a lot of similarities, just more than PPL on its own.
So, you're going to have both the Private Pilot and Instrument Rating written tests passed, and all of the dual/solo flight time required for the Private Pilot, and all of the dual-instrument time required for the Instrument Rating, and then take BOTH oral/practical tests for both ratings at the same time? THAT is one full plate, sir!
If you’re going to have a plate,@@EJWash57, it might as well be full! 😂
@@CheckSixAviationhow did it go?
Haven’t started competing my training yet, @@mhbilly6454. Looking to begin (again) the end of July ‘24.
