We spent time in Mesa Verde National Park in south western Colorado and want to share our experiences with you.
We toured the cliff dwellings of both the Balcony House and Cliff Palace and what an experience they were. However, if you want to tour these dwellings, you need to plan ahead and reserve your spot for these limited tours. No visit to Mesa Verde NP would be complete without touring the Balcony House or Cliff Palace.
We also hiked the Petroglyph Spruce Canyon Trail and had so much fun. The trail ran on the edge of cliffs, through narrow passages and over very steep rocks but, the views were amazing and at the end of the trail was our goal, petroglyphs! The petroglyphs were amazing and made the hike an experience will never forget.

We felt privileged to get to walk around the ancient ruins and see the petroglyphs. So much history to learn and appreciate.
