“Accidents happen. Our bones shatter, our skin splits, our hearts break. We burn, we drown, we stay alive.” You got this Jess. We all pray for your fast recovery ❤️❤️❤️
This is Dorothy Gee’s mom, I see where the braves come from! Jess may seem quiet but she has the heart of a dragon! Sending love and healing prayers! Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE how calm Garrett and the guide were through all of this. I know that when there's people with level heads in the face of an emergency it gets the person help faster and easier
If you were on your couch watching Netflix this would not have happened. Your injury is proof of a life well lived. Keep going, you’ll be 100% in no time.
I tore my ACL skiing 5 years ago and my heart broke when I heard you crying. The recovery process is rough and so hard for anyone who hasn’t gone through it to understand. I am praying for a quick recovery for you. ❤️
How Jess chooses to react to this knock back is unbelievably inspirational. It shows true strength and gratitude. We need more people with similar views on life to hers. Incredible 🥺
I also think that having the support of a loving husband such as Garrett even in the mist of the unknown telling her to not think the worst shows that they are a perfect match. He will be by her side encouraging her the whole way through
I have been in orthopaedics for 30 years! ACL’s are tough but you are tougher. Your drive and attitude will get you through this. Ice and elevate will be your best friends. PT will help strengthen your leg. But the best medicine is your family. Snuggle those babies and get better soon!
Jess Gee you are a soldier! Bold and Brave in any Terrain! Look at you literally standing and walking down a freaking snow mountain after popping your ACL! Warrior!
I’m 6 weeks post op from my knee surgery and I really think that you can’t understand that level of pain and frustration in the rehab unless you’ve gone through it. I felt that frustration on the mountain...if I knew i had to do this again I don’t know if I could mentally do it. The recovery is no joke....something I’ve learnt is to keep a track of each small step of progress so you don’t feel like you’re always struggling (I’ve learnt this the hard way lol). You can do this Jess!!!
I wish you the best of recovery! I’ve had my acl + meniscus surgery in 2013. Focussing on the small improvements is actually a very good way of dealing with recovery. I’ve learned to not rush things and listening to my body about things I can and can’t do.
Totally. Torn ACL was the worst thing ever happened to me, the pain after surgery and recovery, so so long! And I am not on my level even 2y after! I couldnt do this again. Totally get the frustration :-( Hoping for the smooth recovery for you.
Praying for all of you! I have never hurt my acl, but I had a broken leg more than one time. I'm not sure, if you can compare these things, but I know recovery after a bad accident can be really hard.
I had foot surgery on my left foot. Six hard weeks later I got my right foot done. That was two weeks ago. And it has been really rough. But I just know it will pass and I try to stay positive
Jessica thank you for sharing your story . I know it wasn’t easy. Thousands of people have prayed for you and for a smooth recovery. I hope you know that. Me included. Thanks again and enjoy time with your family while you recover. 🙏
I became disabled about 3 years ago from a similar accident. After 4 ankle surgeries, I still need more. Your videos have helped me stay positive. I can't watch this one, but sending love. Stay focused on getting better. You can do this, Jess!
oh man i’m so sorry. i can’t imagine the pain you go thru with your saddened heart about all of this you’re going thru. i hope you continue with positivity in your life. keep fighting and getting better,, remember you’re not stuck now and aren’t stuck because of your physical circumstances! hope you have a great week! conquer it all!
Hey Gee family!! I know y’all will never in a million years see this but I want to let y’all know that I am 13 years old and I was born with a clubfoot and in the past few years I have had over 12 casts and 3 surgeries on the same leg. What I am trying to say is that Jess is super brave and strong and she has a huge support crew and I know how it feels to be caged up but it ends eventually and things will be better. I am praying for y’all and I hope y’all can remember to put your trust in Christ because in the end of the day he is the one that controls everything and makes it happen for a reason. Get well soon!! 😘
Jessica is a very strong individual. She always brings the light when most people cannot. I hope you the best of luck with your recovery, keep on smiling. Stay strong!
I'm a mom of a little one, and all I can see in this video is how strong and honest Jess is about this whole experience. She is so incredibly positive despite the big challenges ahead of her, and it's inspiring me to choose to be courageous in my life. My 9-month challenge to myself (as I grow my own business) = be brave like Jess. Thank you so much for all that you do and I can't wait to share your cartoon with my toddler.
The day Jess is having surgery on her knee and she is the one driving to the hospital. She is a total rockstar and brave, brave mama! Happy Mother’s Day, Jess! You. Are. Amazing.
@@moonbeamsrainbows3080 she wouldn’t have done more damage. It was her left leg that was injured. You don’t need to use your left leg when driving an automatic.

Proud of you Jess. Way to be an example of continuing to live and not allowing the fear of getting hurt or sick control your life. Praying for a good recovery 💕 enjoy everyone being extra nice to you ☺️
Surgery and recoveries are so hard. You don’t realize what you’ve lost until you can’t have it. I had surgery for endometriosis last year and suffered a complication that knocked me on my butt for months. When I could finally start exercising again it was the best feeling. That was just last month I noticed the pain wasn’t coming back after moving my body. Now I’m outside nearly every day doing walks with my dog and even slowly starting to jog and hike. It does make you grateful for your body. It’s been through a lot and it keeps working. Glad you’re healing well.
You are absolutely right that it is better to get hurt while doing something you love or getting out of your comfort zone! So in awe of your family and the bravery, grace, and inspiration you live every day. Best wishes for a healthy and speedy recovery, Jess!
Happy Mother’s Day Jess! You tears made me cry but your bravery took them away. The bond you and Garrett have is goals. Your chat before going into the hospital is a great example of love. Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mom! Stay strong! You will be up skiing and surfing soon enough! For now everyone will be extra nice (love that!)
First I would like to say how thankful I am that this injury wasn’t any more serious than it was. I am grateful for the first responders, doctors, surgeons and nurses that were there for you during the last several days. And lastly, I’m grateful that you all have chosen to share your lives with us for the last several years. I have been a follower since 2016. During the last 5 years I have adventured with you, celebrated with you, laughed and cried with you. Thank you again for sharing. Sending prayers for healing, comfort, wisdom and discernment. Sending much love your way. ❤️💙💚
Jess looks SO much like Dorothy in the car drive to the hospital! And in general, but especially there :) Loved the entire silver lining story at the end. So inspirational, full of strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to living a life you love and all that comes with it. You're an incredible role model for your kids! Wishing you a smooth recovery~ Happy Mother's Day 💐
Garret said on Instagram that this one of their least favorite video's, but I think this is like a testament that shows how much they grew as a family. Very inspiring!! Hope you have a good recovery Jess!!
Jessica, know for a fact that your attitude of gratitude at the end of hearing about your injury is a wonderful inspiration to us all. The Lord gives us the strength when needed and your recovery will be hard but with so many prayers for you hopefully will be bearable. The love of your husband and family will ensuite you to work towards next ski season. All the very best🙏🌈💕
Garrett, you and your beautiful family bring so much joy into my life. Jess is truly an amazing woman, and I"m glad that she has pulled through the surgery. I'll keep you all in my prayers. Heal fast Jess XXX
Jess, you have exactly the right attitude. Hard work, finding things to be thankful for in the midst of a trial, crying when you need to and being strong when you need to, knowing what you need (as in having Garrett and the kids around you), willingness to accept help when you need it, all of those things. Even knowing you will have good and bad days is important. I broke my tibia and fibula ice skating when I was 39 and had three children still at home and remember the long recovery and hard work and trying to take care of things as much as I could. So I understand your emotions. May you literally feel God helping you, because He is, and He loves you so much.💕
Jessica is fortunate that she has a very privileged life. It is sad that she has this speed bump, but in the long run she will recover and return to an active life. In the meantime, I am sure that she can find many things to do to remain a great mom and a productive person in a great life.
I've done mine 7 times, the first time I thought I was going to die. The second time, it was like ohh ffs. It doesn't hurt the second time but the recovery process is what really gets to you because it's mentally draining. Tear 6 times and was not allowed surgery so my trainer and I basically did drills to tear it. It fully went after squat jumps and I got up straight away. Swelling but there was literally no pain. I also did my other knee 6 months after 😂😂😂 my joints are more flexible than they should be and I thought playing rugby was a great idea 😂😂😂😂
She prefers driving, Garrett and she says he’s incredibly dangerous behind the wheel 😂 and it was her left leg and she said she wasn’t in any pain post tear.
Jess you are an inspiration. You inspire me to be strong and brave, to look for the good and cling to gratitude. The world needs more beautiful, loving and driven women like you. Thank you for letting us into your amazing family's life. For shedding tears and sharing smiles with all of us. Sending love and prayers your way. Trusting that God will be with you every step of the way and that you would come out the other side of this trial even stronger.
Jess I did my ACL playing netball when I was 20! Was extremely painful and such a long road to recovery. I then did it again in my 30’s skiing.. :-( my knee will never be the same! I also look at others and think you don’t know how lucky you are. I felt your pain and understood how you felt knowing it was your ACL and the recovery. Take care I do hope you recover quickly. 💐🌺💕
Nothing but love here! Heli skiing is no joke and you have to be adventurous and brave to do it. I love that you both take the adventurous route. You are showing your kids to take risks and step out of their comfort zone. You guys are Amazing and get well soon Jess. Have fun in Utah.
There’s no way to describe how much I admire you Jess. You are brave, strong, confident, and have the absolute most outstanding point of view on life. Thanks for being my role model. ❤️ You are so strong! Sending prayers!!
Jess.. thanks for the reminder of being grateful with our own body and to really take care of it. Prayers for a speedy recovery for you - though even if it will be long and draining one, please never lose hope. Bravery is important.. hope is essential. Immanuel.
Hey Jess - Sending so much love. I've done my ACL and I'm always terrified of doing it again skiing due to the rehab. You are such a strong Mama bear and I hope the recovery feels fast. SO BRAVE xxx
As a mom, Im more fearfull than I was before I had kids. I think its a survival instinct because now I have them to care for and if I die, they might not make it.
What I love about this video is the vulnerability Jess shows. The message was exactly what I needed today, at this moment. Prayers for healing and safe travels back to Hawaii
I tore my ACL and half of my meniscus 8 years ago so I totally get why you were freaking out as it’s a long road to recovery. Sending much love and alohas to you Jessica, you are so brave!!
Dear Jessica, I am so grateful you are doing well. I have been stressed about what happened to you. As a rare cancer survivor (so far) your words gave me chills and tears. You stay strong for your babies and Garret ❤️
Oh my, Jess. The moment prior to entering the hospital, Garret asked what you were most excited about. You responded with, (a bit of ad lib) “maybe people will be nice to me for a few days.” That made me so sad, because I saw those nasty comments after last week’s video. I am so, so sorry you were injured, but I’m even more sorry for the pain caused by the internet bullies, aimed at you, once again. You and your family exude nothing but love, peace and joy. Long ago, I heard a guy saw, “I don’t let others rent space in my head.” Although, difficult to do, I do try to abide by that advice. Those that want to harm us, whether it be physically or emotionally, don’t deserve a place in our lives. I pray you are healing well and hopefully back at in your beautiful, sunny Hawaiian home, surrounded by the ones that love you unconditionally.
If you watch the first part .It was implied it was serious almost as if she had died.Just look at Garretts song choice during it.She shouldn't be doing levels she isn't experienced for just so Garrett can get his video content. This has now become about chasing the money and brand.Considering she drove herself to the hospital for surgery the dramatic Part 1 video was click bait. Even the kids are pushed into situations by Garrett.what for ?Better content for the next project?Disney shows?.There is a point as a parent you have to actually be responsible for the kids safety . Garrett is obsessed with this way and I doubt anybody else really gets a say
@@moonbeamsrainbows3080 I mean an ACL tear is pretty serious, no? - also, she’s been skiing for YEARS, how was she to know that was going to happen? Its like saying McKayla Maroney wasn’t experienced enough at the olympics because she got hurt… if you don’t push your kids; they may never face their fears- shown in these past 20 videos with Manila and Cali surfing and snowboarding. Treat others how you’d like to be treated friend. Take care.
@@moonbeamsrainbows3080 I get what you're saying, friend. Garret is far from perfect.. and I think everyone around him knows it, we their followers knows it, even he knows it too. Still, nobody's perfect. And you have the right to share your thoughts as well. But in this video let's focus on Jess. She is an amazing woman. We care for her and really hope she finds faith and peace through her recovery journey. Let's focus on that note, friend.
Maybe just entertain the possibility that Jess, looking on the positive side, was offsetting the bummer of having a ski injury to being spoilt and pampered a little when you've got an injury. Probably not said in reference to bad comments 😃
I cried along with you Jess.😢 Before you know it, this healing time will pass and you will be even that much stronger. Thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. May peace be with you..☮️💟 Happy Mother’s Day to the bravest mother bear!🌺🐻♥️💙💚
Thank you for sharing Jessica. Seeing you smile through the tears just shows what an amazingly strong and positive person you really are. Bad things happen to good people, but it makes you stronger. Somewhere in this journey you are helping someone whether you know it or not.
Jessica, stay strong and positive. Rest up, sending you hugs and wishing you a speedy recovery! 2021 is flying by us and before you know it, you’ll be tearing through those slopes again. Take care.
You'll be better in no time Jess! You're a tough woman! You'll be back to skiing and doing other things next season! You've taught your kids to be brave and you're setting a good example for them. There's going to be ups and downs and that's part of life. Your kids will learn from this! Praying for a quick recovery!
I totally understand the emotion Jess is feeling! They’re soooo many variables in life that were altered in that moment and this time it involves kids, work everything! Praying for you🙏🏾
Awesome job Jess! Being brave, mad, frustrated and still showing your kids how to deal with life's challenges along the way.I have been in the spot you were in, I crashed off my horse and wreaked my leg. Months and months of rehab (and extra hardware) only to break my elbow a few years afterwards! Boy was I mad, and angry because I knew what lay ahead for me, pain aside the anger is real! You rose above and faced the challenge, this too will become a distant memory. Here's to a strong and speedy recovery.
I had an ACL tear two years ago! It’s the worst and I can’t imagine retearing. We can’t wait to see you start walking and running and jumping and we will cheer you on at every step of your physics therapy. For reals. Post an update every single day and every new inch you can bend. It is so crazy to look back on. Not being able to walk is HUMBLING and we know you can do it. Pretty promise you’ll make a new story bubble so you can add to it every day and see your progress over time. I did it for a small amount of the recovery and I always wish I had done it daily. Anyway feel better soon 🥰

Because she is the most awesome women ever!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ what a super heroe she is!!!!!
Trusting that God will be with you every step of the way and that you would come out the other side of this trial even stronger.
i love that jess still looks like a supermodel without makeup. get well, lots of live and prayers from my family
You will be stronger than ever next season Jessica!
Lots of love from a girl that wants to be just like you❤
I can’t believe she drove herself to the hospital before her surgery. So tough!
What a beautiful soul you have Jess.....speedy recovery. Love to you and your family ❤️
I love how wholesome this family is. RUclips needs more like it.
In this life there WILL be trouble... thank you Jess for showing us what it means to praise Him through the storm... ❤
Have fun in Utah.
wishing jessica a fast recovery !!
There’s no way to describe how much I admire you Jess. You are brave, strong, confident, and have the absolute most outstanding point of view on life. Thanks for being my role model. ❤️ You are so strong! Sending prayers!!
Happy Mothers day Jessica! Hope you get well soon.
You are so positive Jess! Prayers for a full recovery. Thanks for being an inspiration even through pain and tears.
Bravery isn’t not falling down, bravery is being able to get back up despite the fear.
Your strength and motivation is encouraging! Your kids will learn so much from this and your strength. Happy Mother’s Day 😊
Jess.. thanks for the reminder of being grateful with our own body and to really take care of it. Prayers for a speedy recovery for you - though even if it will be long and draining one, please never lose hope. Bravery is important.. hope is essential. Immanuel.
Get well, soon, Jessica!! I am glad it wasn't worse. I hope and pray you will heal quickly and completely! 💞
Hey Jess - Sending so much love. I've done my ACL and I'm always terrified of doing it again skiing due to the rehab. You are such a strong Mama bear and I hope the recovery feels fast. SO BRAVE xxx
You are such a strong woman and a role model for so many people! Keep going Jess! You got this! ❤
Dear Jessica,
I am so grateful you are doing well.
Jessica you are beautiful person and brave. Thank you for sharing beautiful life and family to all of us. I'll keep you in my prayers.
I cried along with you Jess.😢 Before you know it, this healing time will pass and you will be even that much stronger. Thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. May peace be with you..☮️💟
Happy Mother’s Day to the bravest mother bear!🌺🐻♥️💙💚
Thank you for sharing Jessica. Seeing you smile through the tears just shows what an amazingly strong and positive person you really are. Bad things happen to good people, but it makes you stronger. Somewhere in this journey you are helping someone whether you know it or not.
This breaks my heart to see her in this much pain not even physical, mental/emotional. I’m praying for Jess. love y’all ❤️❤️
Jessica, stay strong and positive. Rest up, sending you hugs and wishing you a speedy recovery! 2021 is flying by us and before you know it, you’ll be tearing through those slopes again. Take care.
Thank goodness you are okay. Heart breaking to hear your pain when you fell. Take care and all the best from NZ
So horrible to hear Jess in pain... best wishes for your recovery!
Jessica I hope you heal fast!! You’re amazing mama!! Happy Mother’s Day!!
7:45 "maybe everybody being extra nice to me" haha so cute! Fast recovery jess 🙏 ❤
I totally understand the emotion Jess is feeling! They’re soooo many variables in life that were altered in that moment and this time it involves kids, work everything! Praying for you🙏🏾
Jess, get well soon, heal swiftly and happy Mother’s Day!
Jess,
You are so strong!! You are a amazing momma! Even in the darkest times find the light! You are so brave! Come back stronger!
All the best Jessica ,we stand behind you ❤️
Awesome job Jess!
We are praying for you Jessica and remember that we will always love you
I had an ACL tear two years ago!
We got this Jess!!
You can swim and help Dorothy with her gymnastics, you can cook and read and aall thes e wonderful things until you can get back in intense action! :D
Every thing Jess talked about was so true! They ALWAYS see the brighter side and think positive! She is so right that their is a plan for everybody and there is a reason everything happens. This family is just so inspirational and has shown me and so many others how to adventure! Lots of prayers Jess!
Jess you are out of this world. Seriously, you're a rockstar. You're braver than a cheetah, lion, bear, and tiger! Fingers crossed for a quicker recovery!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
You will conquer that mountain!!!! Praying for a speedy recovery! Thanks for sharing your story!!!!
Sending so much love to jess and you all sorry this has happened xx
Jessica Happy Mother's Day!! You are a Very Brave woman and our prayers are with you. Hugs
Jessica is such a beautiful woman with or without makeup inside and out. I will be praying for you Jess. You will get through this with flying colors.

You are so brave and resilient, and I know you’ll be back to the (physically) extraordinary adventures in no time. Have a blessed Mother’s Day today 💐.
