WCML Trent Valley review ~ Train Simulator

- The WCML - Trent Valley route add-on (for Train Simulator) is an unusual case, in a sense. While the scenery is really good for a route released nearly 10 years ago, the experience is let down by the route coverage being very linear, not to mention the low-quality / recycled sounds on the included Class 350 Desiro. As for the Class 66/4 diesel locomotive, she just exists.
For reference, the route coverage only goes from Rugby to Stafford, plus short (and borderline pointless) extensions off to Daventry and Rugeley Town. The editing process was more annoying that usual this time, but I'm glad to have got there in the end.
There is a Texture patch for the AP 350 On ATS which gets rid of the SWT Poster and changes the seat Texture
It's a nice video, and something that I hadn't realised until now when you mentioned it, is the incorrect livery application on the front gangway. What they've done is mistakenly use the livery variant of the /2 and /3 on the 350/1. Honestly, I'd completely forgotten about London Midland's full yellow gangway 350s, so I apologise for thinking you were wrong for a moment there. Just goes to show the importance of researching before you comment!
As a small follow up, looking back at my archive it turns out that units 350260, 350261 and 350265 have actually experienced both variations whilst under operation by LNWR.
nice to see nuneaton (my local) mentioned
I am glad I am picking Trent valley up as the last WCML route I need from steam to complete the WCML missing link- not I mind as much about linear in TSC? I don’t have the sound packs at all as I am a very late joiner into TSC. I’d say the coverage of Trent valley is probably only useful when it’s ran on missing link so you can drive to Crewe.

nice Easter egg of a LNER Apple Green Mallard. May be a hint or just a *feature*
I put that screenshot there to cover up a Steam notification, which appeared as I was recording.
@@DC4260Productions ahhh, makes sense.
Also I like how it kind of ties in with the same Apple Green Mallard appearing later on too.
The 350/4 doesn’t also have that type of pantograph as it isn’t fitted with brechnol Willis pantographs
The "350" that AP made is wrong in every way, the cab is alot different on a 450 to a 350, if you look at the WCMLS ones, the models are actually quite accurate.
If you don't own it, I would recommend the Fife circle. It comes with SCR 170 and gladgow-kircaldy and leven
