I know collectors appreciate a lot of cool species, but with tarantulas I am mostly fascinated with the "beginners" species. This one and the Mexican redknee are simply the most stunning of the species for me and their docile nature makes them even more attractive. I could appreciate the old world blue ones with metallic colours but they think you have chosen death just by replacing their water bowl.
I love that its completely black and very bulky. I can't seem to get my hands on one that is reasonably priced. You have quite a large collection of T's, it would be awesome to see a complete tour of your tarantula world.
Great video and what a beautiful T. I like how you respect them and don't over handle them. You inspired us to get our first Mexican Red knee and we enjoy her so much. Thanks again for all the great videos ! Lena & Paul
This is an amazing video man. I love this species so much, in fact, its my first species I have ever cared for. I now have 57 tarantulas and you are an amazing youtuber showing the world the true beauty of these amazing creatures. keep up the great work!
+John Kennedy I would only say the smithi, emilia and albopilosum are ok to handle, with the auratum and the boehmei being the worst for kicking hairs.
TarantulaAddict Thank you. I'm surprised to find it so difficult in finding a guaranteed female Smithi online. When I was active in this hobby 15 years back, I didn't have this problem.
I've read using a soft bristle brush ( though stiff enough that the fibres don't collapse upon impact with something ) can be used to coax a tarantula if you're unwilling to handle them. I think they take to it better because it's a soft, gentle sensation that's familiar ( fuzz against fuzz, after all ) rather than something cold and hard like tongs. With g. pulchra it isn't really necessary because they're so docile, but with others it might come in handy if you've not tried it.
I actually got a little misty-eyed watching this. Meagan is just so very precious and sweet!! When you removed her old hidey, I actually said, "It's okay, sweet baby...that's a good girl."♥♥♥ G. pulchras are easily my favorite tarantulas, and your darling girl is just a treasure. My other favorites are the A. versicolor and the P. metallica (bit grumpy, those!). ♥
I'm getting my first ever spider this Saturday and it's a G. Pulchra, i'm looking forward to it immensely! They are by far the most beautiful species of tarantula in my opinion!
I have my little one, who's very skittish... He does like burrowing and bulldozing a lot... Such sweet, beautiful tarantulas. I wondered if you could do a more detailed video of either rehousing to a new enclosure or housekeeping their existing one. I'm feeling a bit nervous and wary of relocating him while I clean or change his house because I don't want to stress him (or her) out more than is necessary... This would be the first time I have done a temp relocation/move. Thanks very much 😊
eeek she is so pretty! I own a Brazilian black myself and his name is Claude 😍 he is my little baby and surprisingly enough he loves to crawl around on my head and chill on my shoulder when he is out, is that normal If I may ask? 😨
hi excellent video! I have just ordered a 3cm, juvenile. Is there anything I should be especially concerned about with the small spider. I already have a Flame Knee, GB, and pumpkin patch.
Hey man great videos! I was just wondering if you have any tips on where to find one of these beauties in the UK and if you knew of any other places to get one? Keep up the good work!
You can go to a petshop near you and, purchase one but you still have to research the species you want to keep as a pet, some T's differ from one another.
+Jay Asi I'd personally buy online although it is expensive with the overnight shipping, but the selection has much variety. Ts in petshops are always stressed from what I have come to realize.
Jay Asi lol I've been watching these types of videos for years, so I know where to buy them. The thing is I just don't have the time to take care of one.
+Sun the Flower keep your eyes open for a expo near you. They are cheaper than pet stores for spiders and everything u need, and they know their stuff. Last time in a pet store,I knew more about the spiders than the salesperson ,which is sad, since I've only been in the hobby for a year.
Well, most don't like to be handled ,even if this species is a laid back one. Mine endures being handling though. Just check the mood of the spider before trying, don't just shove your hand in,or you risk getting bit. ( even a nice dog can bite you if you startle it,spiders are the same)
Your Black Brazilian looks so cute and beautiful at the same time such a sweet Tarantula to have probably my favorite species would you ever consider selling her?
I have one of these as a spiderling. Is it normal for them to have like white on there legs? Because mine has yet to become pitch black yet. If so how long does it take to actually become black in coloration?
Every tarantula has its own disposition. In general G pulchra tend to be more mellow, but there are plenty of examples of G pulchra that you would swear were the spawn of hell.
Ur spider has a bald spot on its abdomen I read that means it’s unhealthy not trying to bash you just curious and rather than dry I read humidity between 50 and 75 was good for them
Heyy! I just bought my first T. It's a brazilian black, female. I have a question, i watched her rub her fangs. like, with her "arms" touching, her fangs while they go up and down alternatively. Thats a signal of.. what? :l thanks
Does anyone know how to rehouse a white striped birdeater? I'm not planning on rehousing it anytime soon, but just for the future I'd like to know. Mine has burrowed into it's substrate, and it rarely comes out so it would be kind of a challenge to rehouse it.
My son wanted to hold the female so I holding her first then I gave it too him but it didn’t bite him. last he took her to her new enclosure while I was holding the male he was like you go build the enclosure while I have a look on both
[4:34] aha. My experience is they don't bite something they are sitting on :) Also, picking up between thumb and middle finger while pressing them down with the index finger always works, if your steady. Otherwise you'll find out how quick spiders can be, heh. There is one spider left in my collection, and I don't know how hold she is, but I think it may be a G. pulchra of about 10-15y. Never handled her much though, she was one of several unknown sp. I fostered. I like her attitude. Good looking individual.
Pinch grab, the method you described, can be very dangerous for the tarantula if you do not know what you are doing. I would never recommend a beginner pick up a tarantula with this method. Better yet, dont them at all if you can avoid it.
+TarantulaAddict yeah they are very similar just from differant regions I think. that would be brilliant. I'm looking for a new enclosure for her atm and can't find a good one. perhaps a video on a suitable set up would be a good idea :D none of the brands offer a nice viewing tank that I suitable for them :(
I have the same g pulchra but she is twice smaller. I tried to touch her gently once and she kicked hair. Second time after maybe a month a tried to do something close to her and she attacked my tweezers... its my first tarantula but mine is not so dosile :o whats happening lol btw she molted maybe about a week ago maybe two weeks but i didnt take out her molt, and when i wanted to it was torn to pieces all across the enclosure.... wtf? She torn apart her own molt all across the enclosure? My pulchra is so weird, can somebody give me a clue whats happening :) thanks
it's unbelievable how gentle that black brazialian spider is
I know collectors appreciate a lot of cool species, but with tarantulas I am mostly fascinated with the "beginners" species. This one and the Mexican redknee are simply the most stunning of the species for me and their docile nature makes them even more attractive. +WestCoastArachnids I plan on filming one this month.
Sweet!
it’s hard to get them now in the US unless you pay upwards of $100 because they have to be imported from europe usually
I suggest checking out Jamie's Tarantulas if you live in the United States. They have them sometimes for a good price.
Great video and what a beautiful T. I like how you respect them and don't over handle them. You inspired us to get our first Mexican Red knee and we enjoy her so much.
Thanks again for all the great videos ! Lena & Paul
where did you get her at??
net-bug.net
She's so cute! Love that tarantula. So calm and docile
Oh she's such a beauty.
This is an amazing video man. I love this species so much, in fact, its my first species I have ever cared for. I now have 57 tarantulas and you are an amazing youtuber showing the world the true beauty of these amazing creatures. keep up the great work!
+KingCreepyPasta Thanks! Will do.
+TarantulaAddict Hello, would you say all Brachypelma genus are good for handling? I've herd some kick hairs more than others. Thank you
+Dawson Reynolds Sure, I plan on doing one this month. Just got a few more I want to rehouse first.
She's so cute and calm, gorgeous spider! Also your voice is so soothing!

Please give us more of these videos. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I'd like to know more of the docile species.
+Lauren Calaway Ok will do :)
I actually got a little misty-eyed watching this. Meagan is just so very precious and sweet!! Very soothing narration, no wonder your 'rancho is so chill.
Beautiful creature! Very docile. Nice calm and slow. Hehe they just want to chill out. Thank you for sharing!
The new enclosure looks awesome. I love that hide
+Johanan Micaiah Cheers
I have one of these tarantulas! She's so lovely ✨
Your voice is very soothing.
I'm getting my first ever spider this Saturday and it's a G. Pulchra, i'm looking forward to it immensely!
They are by far the most beautiful species of tarantula in my opinion!
I actually love G pulchra but there literal cousin Brazilian blue is my most favorite!!! 😍

+TarantulaAddict Hey man, thanks for the shout out! You going to SEAS?
+Gam3Droid gaming Thanks
+Jay Asi Sure, I just need to buy some better lighting so will probably be another week or two.
Just found your video today. Excellent job! I'm considering getting a G. Pulchra as my 6th and final T 😁
I can't wait to get mine !! He will be my 7th tarantula
Aww, she seems so sweet :3 I would love a Brazilian Black but my mom would NEVER allow it. Gonna have to wait until I get a place of my own haha.
LaceeLasers same I got like 4 years still :/
Fantastic spider, and an Awesome enclosure!
I bought my first G Pulchra today! I named her Bellatrix LeSpider, and she is actually my very first tarantula.
So calm and cute aww :3
This specie's my first and an absolutely beautiful choice. Nice T my man! 😎
I have my little one, who's very skittish... He does like burrowing and bulldozing a lot... Such sweet, beautiful tarantulas. She's so cute. This spider is my dream.
She is such a beauty and so calm. i want one too but i dont find a juvenile femal at the moment :(
The Halloween ornament spider lol :)
Hello. I am a new T owner.. Have a lovely Red Rump. I am really liking this T and looking to get one. X
eeek she is so pretty! I own a Brazilian black myself and his name is Claude 😍 he is my little baby and surprisingly enough he loves to crawl around on my head and chill on my shoulder when he is out, is that normal If I may ask? 😨
Morning Horsey that's so adorable 😭

What happened to it?
...just yesterday I saw some Ts in the petshop... immediately I started to sweat. But this girl looks really, really nice!
She is adorable! :)
She is so sweet. Love her velvety black color!
Great video. I love the way you care for your Ts. Megan is one fine lady. Thank you for your brilliant videos :)
+Carrianne Tough Thanks, glad you like her :)
I want one so bad, but my mom hates spiders
Trying to get my hands on a juvenile but they are so hard to find in the UK :( truly beautiful creatures
Maximouse spidersworld.eu just announced that they will have a steady supply of slings this year! good luck!
anna rasko thank you! ❤
I have heard spidersworld.eu are not a good company
What's a reputable place in the UK for one to get a Brazilian Black? I obviously wanna avoid pet stores and bad breeders. 💖
hi excellent video!
+xplorersam Only seen spiderlings available recently. These guys have some for sale. www.thespidershop.co.uk/spiderlings-c-21_32.html
+xplorersam These guys also have some tarantulasbristol.co.uk/?search-results,17&sPhrase=pulchra
She was like, 'aah my butt D:'
Watching your videos make me wanna get a T lol. I love how docile and beautiful this species is.

+Jay Asi I have only seen a tarantula in a pet shop once in my life,so I am worried that I won't be able to ever purchase one.
+Sun the Flower keep your eyes open for a expo near you. They are cheaper than pet stores for spiders and everything u need, and they know their stuff. Last time in a pet store,I knew more about the spiders than the salesperson ,which is sad, since I've only been in the hobby for a year.
Is this a handable species? I always see people NOT handling them while stating they are 'very calm'... etc...

Great video and awesome tarantula 🤘👽🤘
beautiful species
Would love to have one. Awesome T.
Gorgeous T.
not sure you have it but an A. minatrix video would be great if you did.
Your Black Brazilian looks so cute and beautiful at the same time such a sweet Tarantula to have probably my favorite species would you ever consider selling her?
Planning on getting one. Also looking at the Chaco golden knee. Idk which my first tarantula should be.
i'm waiting for my sling to be delivered in a couple of days and it's my 2nd T i've bought in the last month lol.
Awesome videos man do you have any tarantulas for sale i love tarantulas and would like to start breeding them
can you do a video on how to care for green bottle blues?
amazing thanks for sharing I wish there was an online shop that sells and ships tarantulas to the UK where I live as I might need a female B smithy
@spidersworld.EU sell and ship to the UK
I have one of these as a spiderling. Is it normal for them to have like white on there legs? Because mine has yet to become pitch black yet. If so how long does it take to actually become black in coloration?
How old is Megan? She is really lovely.
If I wasn’t such a tarantula phobic I’d name a tarantula Jennifer or Alison
Beautiful girl. Do you have any Xenesthis species? Or maybe do a care video on Theraphosa, or moisture dependent species in general?
+Waylon W I have owned one in the past so I will do one for a Theraphosa and say this care also applies to...
i love your video! But brazilian black tarantulas loves 70%-90% humidyti so isn’t that pretty high?
I wish my pulchra was that calm. Very typical of a grammostola. Very moody, and usually more likely to try and bite lol
sooo, in other words, this particular species isn't easily provoked and is hell of a lot more calm when compared to others tarantulas??
Every tarantula has its own disposition. In general G pulchra tend to be more mellow, but there are plenty of examples of G pulchra that you would swear were the spawn of hell.
My book about spiders sais she likes 80-90% humidity and moist soil.. :S
shes beautiful
How big should the enclosure be for adults? How about for spiderlings? :)
VERY PRETTY
Georgeous species, my 1st T 💓
My tarantula loves his fake plant. He sits under it all the time, so they aren't always for decoration :)
+SixPointFive Millimeter Good point, they can help them feel more secure :)
Ur spider has a bald spot on its abdomen I read that means it’s unhealthy not trying to bash you just curious and rather than dry I read humidity between 50 and 75 was good for them
I have a juvenile and he or she is so sweet ; just love this T 👍🙂
TA, I have a question what do you feed your baby T's??
I feed mine Roach or flies that I caught, is that alright for them??
+Jay Asi small crickets, it is unless they have been exposed to a pesticide as this could harm your spiders.
Heyy!
I just bought my first T.
It's a brazilian black, female. I have a question, i watched her rub her fangs. like, with her "arms" touching, her fangs while they go up and down alternatively. Thats a signal of.. what? :l
thanks
Here in Florida it’s all humid, so is this not a good choice I’m really sorry I’m new to this
Ive had my sling now for a month and mines already doubled in size. It's an eating machine as well as being a bulldozer with its substrate lol
She is beautiful, do you have the blue fang?
Beautiful
I'm waiting for my aphonopelma seemanni T is it handleable? Any tips?
Does anyone know how to rehouse a white striped birdeater? I'm not planning on rehousing it anytime soon, but just for the future I'd like to know. Mine has burrowed into it's substrate, and it rarely comes out so it would be kind of a challenge to rehouse it.
Could you please do a how to care for video on the chaco golden knee tarantula
Where did you get this tarantula from? I've been looking for a G.Pulchra for a while!
gpulchra.blogspot.com/p/tarantulas-for-sale.html
My son wanted to hold the female so I holding her first then I gave it too him but it didn’t bite him. last he took her to her new enclosure while I was holding the male he was like you go build the enclosure while I have a look on both
Bitte für Vogelspinnen keine Plastik -Terrariums verwenden sondern ein Glas- Terrarium in der empfohlenen Grösse je nach Art der Vogelspinne.
I might get one
I would probably have picked her up to put her over. Do you handle them?
[4:34] aha. My experience is they don't bite something they are sitting on :) Also, picking up between thumb and middle finger while pressing them down with the index finger always works, if your steady. Otherwise you'll find out how quick spiders can be, heh.

she is beautiful and shes a juvenile
could you do a video on how to care for a lasiodora Klugi? thanks
+Walmsley808 I don't have a klugi bit I will do one for the parahybana and their care is identical as far as I know.
+TarantulaAddict yeah they are very similar just from differant regions I think. that would be brilliant. I'm looking for a new enclosure for her atm and can't find a good one. perhaps a video on a suitable set up would be a good idea :D none of the brands offer a nice viewing tank that I suitable for them :(
I live in Brazil!
Could you pet the tarantulas
its surprised me that they prefer dry substrate , being from brazil which I thought was all humid jungle habitat?
You are correct. They are not a dry species. While they can tolerate dry conditions, they will thrive with more moisture.
You are not correct. These are not a jungle species, they come from the arid grasslands of Brazil.
how many times do you need to spritz a baby grammostola pulchra?
Never. Just add enough water to the substrate to keep it lightly moist. Do Not Spritz.
What a beautiful T! I am really scared of spiders, just y
Какой красавец
will this specie allow you to pet it?
+Trish Armijo If you want something to pet, get a dog or a cat, not a spider!
+Sataniq I have a snake. no dogs allowed :)
Do u need a heat matt ?
