  • If you can not afford a 2,000 watt power station, maybe you can go a little smaller with a 1,000 watt unit for emergencies. This is a good unit after putting it through the tests.

just a bit of advice... when powering electronic devices... if you can go directly from the generator with the 12VDC into the device with a DC adaptor (like one that goes to your car) thats the most efficient route. converting DC battery power to 120VAC then back down to some DC voltage incurs losses along the way. this is why its best if you have DC powered devices for emergency use.

I just got 2 of these. $300 off on Amazon. Just under $500 each.
I plugged in a pizza oven and it started at 935 watts and went down to about 609 watts after it was heated. It used about 6% power after baking a pizza for 12 minutes.
Great units. Putting in my ambulance camper.

Thanks for the review! We bought a bluetti generator (which is pretty decent), a solar oven, and my husband is building some rocket stoves. We also took your advice and bought some bidets for our two toilets. It definitely has cut down on TP. We really enjoy your channel and the practical advice you give! I personally enjoy finding ways to not pay for stuff too or cutting costs. It really requires a lot of problem-solving creativity, which can be a lot of fun! Thanks again! ;)

Yikes! I ordered the generator and the panels. Thank you for reviewing and for the discount codes. I've been waiting for a while to order, I didn't want to spend a lot, so those codes came in handy. Yes I would have preferred the 2000, but I got to start somewhere and these give me a little relief knowing I have them for emergency. I can always upgrade later if need be. Love your channel!! Thank you Prepper Princess!!

just a thought. Running 2 x 100 W panels in series will exceed the voltage input allowed (26 V). You have to run it in parallel.

If you left the solar panels connected while the AC was running, will it have stayed charging ? I don't think am saying that right. Would have the AC run longer with the solar panels on the generator? Hopefully you get my question:) what am trying to say. I really want to buy some solar generator for some window ACs. Thank you for your time on the video's, love the info. you give out.

I returned and bought Ecoflow and it was laud while charging, I returned again and bought this one for under 500$ on Amazon with coupon they have now. I charged the unit to 100%and testing now with my apartment fridge. It has been going for 6 hours and its 92% battery left

A word for CPAP users ... turning down the heating of the moist air will extend the useful life of this power source to several nights. CPAP motors use little power but the heating element is a pure resistive load that will suck down your stored power. You must have the air!!! You might get by with less moisture.

Thank you for this review. Very useful information. I live in hurricane alley and I was thinking of buying a solar power station emergency purposes. Unfortunately in an hurricane emergency situation powing your cell phone or laptop is useless because the cell towers and internet service provider is out as well. I like the idea of powering small appliances and a tv to play dvd's and may be a fan or two

  • @gogogardener

It sounds really interesting. But when I look at comparison to the lesser model, it's only 3 lb difference. Are you sure it can draw 1000 watts? My refrigerator is 800 watt. After recent outages and mail notifications that more are coming, I'm seriously considering a purchase. Just not sure that it's as great a buy as it seems, due to weight.
