Went there to I.H Christmas party show. My dad worked at International (now Navistar) Gave you apple or orange and little box of old fashioned candy when you left the show. That would have been in the 1960's early 1970's. Special times!❤

The Irresponsible people of Clark County should be ashamed to dishonor Veteran's, by allowing Memorial Hall to deteriorate to the point of destruction. My memories of going to Memorial Hall in my grade school days, will live on in my memories forever.

True. However, "the powers that be" we still pushing "old is bad, new is good" narrative. Plus, economics weren't kind to the Springfield/Clark County area. Factories closing, people losing jobs, and 'government' raising taxes. Cliff Park was renamed Veteran's Park in a public opinion campaign. We lost a landmark, but one was renamed, one had a new purpose, and a new one was created. My quiz is: what are the names of the other two places?

We at the Field Guide to Architectural sclupture in the US came looking for Memorial Hall hoping to discover some of the sculpture Leon Hermant executed there. Sorry to hear that the building is gone but delighted to learn that the eagle still sits perched on a building. Thanks, Einar

Yeah Wendy's sits on the back lot of the old building, i explored it as a kid/teen just to see what it looked like inside, but that was way back before homes had internet & cellphones existed lol, thanks for watching an commenting
