- In this episode... An original 60s J&E Hall, a mixed up lift from many mods over the years, a whole load of shit generics, and me pressing the priority button that I'm not supposed to press HEHE!
beno.org.uk
2:44 I heard another lift in priority control
They better have a pool
I never watched a video of a unmodernized, complete and original J&E Hall with automatic sliding doors before. :'-(
Probably more use than the j&e hall lift has had in its life in a few minutes
4:43 I actually saw this one had theater control on it because the priority button had a T on it
When There Is Signs Telling You That You Are Not Allowed To Ride The Lift. You Have To Ride It
yes, another lift tour! my favourite type of video.
4:05 the generic bed lift opposite the kone m series lift also has theatre control.
I would have pressed the T button in the 3rd elevator as well
3:21 That mod is a 1980s Kone M-series mod with 1960s/1970s Marryat & Scott-style/1980s Hammond & Champness-style fixtures with orange illumination halo and Starlift-Voorburg-style floor numbering, LED dot-matrix indicator and the lovely famous Kone M-series piano chime.
The floor numbering in the indicator scrolls by the way.
As far as I know it was modernized in the year 2000.
on mixed up lift they didn't decide which naming method to use. mixed breed lift looks nice too. dwang dwong. labelled lift complies the ADA. janie hall service lift is fantastic. its motor is lift/elevator music. lift voices sounded bored or tired.
The old original J&E hall wasn't working! Noooooooo!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭
thanks for doing poole hospital
5:01 R.I.P this J&E hall service lift got horribly replaced!!!!! 😭😭😭
@@liftsurfer52 yeah
Tyler says "I've been to R B Hospital"
The priority button is the only thing that makes those lifts special. Without it, the generics wouldn't be worth filming.
U hate generic but love old lift
Did you realise that the bed lifts across from the lift that had loads of different mods had the Theatre Control button?
It had j&e lift on the theatre control
Staff only
Could you do a lift tour at St Richards hospital in Chichester?
Tyler says "beno do you love the old or new lifts?"
more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like platform and some generic lifts
Yeah go there. The lifts there are s**t-tactic!
Address: Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Longfleet Road, Poole, Dorset, BH15 2JB, United Kingdom.
Fucking ThyssenKrupp has modded the first lift/elevator. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS TO TO UK HERITAGE!!!!!!!!!!
@@ElevatingEurope Ye... Tell me about the Madrid Metro lifts. Just terrible levelling on the new-ish Thyssencrap lifts (the older ones, with the red destination buttons and indicators, are still pretty good, tho not as smooth), while Kone lifts have perfect levelling. I mean perfect: the cab brakes smoothly and continuously until it stops, perfectly levelled.
8:06 semi intelligent leveling?
0:06: ThyssenKrupp... why?
I've been in a J&E Hall in Toymaster in Exeter with automatic doors. It is original, except that it has had its buttons replaced by Otis with GAL.
Tyler says "I still like the modernised lifts a bit"
@@liftsurfer52you’re right! Old lifts are better!
That was 6 years ago anyways and I have completely changed!
@@liftsurfer52 lol this comment is 6 years old!
Nice Lifts ***** :3
0:08 LEAVE THYSSENKRUPP ALONE OR I WILL DISLIKE YOUR COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you planning going to more shopping centres? I was suggesting the Metrocentre in Gateshead Which has a Furse lift.
I've been to the metro center, I wasn't very impressed with it. Its mainly just on 2 floors.
Elevatorsinrussia I love thyssenkrupp lift! 😠
Me too
@@PhuongTran-if9vh, I did bad grammar in that comment tho!
@@MrBusEnthusiast no you didn’t
@@PhuongTran-if9vh, Well, shouldn’t it say “Elevatorsinrussia, I love *that* thyssenkrupp lift?”
i installed two passenger lifts for platt-schindler as it was known then in 1967.
in poole hospital.
brian lee Which ones
***** they was a duplex but must have been remodernised by now. i have installed so many lifts i cant remember all of them but poole hospital reminded me, i also done the arndale centre in poole straight after the hospital then the arndale centre in bournemouth.
brian lee The center in Poole has since been renamed "the dolphin". There is a glass schindler in the middle (now modded), it appears to be an 80s/90s Shindler.
Also in the center there was an original platt-schindler with pop out buttons. This lift has been plastered over now, I didn't get to ride or film it but others have ruclips.net/video/QwfbBSh3B4s/видео.html
The 60s design of platt schindler with pop out buttons is very different to anything else. The buttons become part of the logic. What was the advantage of this.
There are not many of these lifts left, I think this is because they are so different that they are not compatible with any modern equipment, meaning that companies can't do part mods to them, they have to fully mod everything (they can't simply replace one part of the lift e.g. the buttons) this means that a full modernization is done, so hardly any of them survive.
Also Westinghouse seems to have the exact same system. Did schindler buy this system in from Westinghouse? or the other way round.
***** the glass schindler was installed by a bloke called chris he was only 20 a year older than me, we were the youngest fitters on schindlers,we were both on the tools at 18. schindler had their own design systems at that time and we even installed lifts with sensitronic pushes that worked of the static in your fingers, they were the first firm to do this,i am guessing that westinghouse bought this system from schindler as it was a swiss invention. the pop out buttons just sent direct messages to the selector and once message had been reiceved the selector took control of all input and sorted it through.my memory is not that sharp now so i hope you can understand what i mean.
Are you going to do a lift tour time of Castlepoint?
I just googled castlepoint and it showed a retail park near Bournemouth. (is that the one you mean, as I think theres somewhere else called castlepoint).
The castlepoint retail park near Bournemouth looks horrid. I don't like that style of shopping complex. not many floors, no indoor mall between the shops.
I stopped at Poole on route on my holiday at weymouth. I've got lots of videos of Guernsey and hotels in Weymouth to upload.
***** Yes and they got good Oakland lifts
*****
The Purley way retail park has a few good lifts, some goods ones in IKEA, a nice old lift and an otis in tkmax and an ecodisc in sainsburys.
+Reece Meacham Stupid generics!

That would make for a very interesting lift tour.
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT? 😡
I’m an idiot.
@@MrBusEnthusiast no your not
@@liftsurfer52, yes he is… sometimes! 🤓
Thyssenkrupp has destroyed a 1980's Schindler S-Series.
