      1. Based on hypothetical assumptions, I estimate that there could be approximately 3,000 restaurants in San Francisco. This estimation is based on the following assumptions:
      Population Density: San Francisco has a relatively high population density, which often correlates with a higher number of restaurants to cater to the local residents and visitors.
      Dining Culture: San Francisco is known for its diverse culinary scene and vibrant food culture. The city attracts food enthusiasts and has a reputation for being a hub of culinary innovation, which could contribute to a larger number of restaurants.
      Economic Factors: San Francisco has a strong economy, with a thriving tourism industry and a population that often dines out. This economic stability and demand for dining options may incentivize entrepreneurs to open and operate restaurants.
      Restaurant Types: This estimate considers a broad range of dining establishments, including fine dining restaurants, casual eateries, fast-food chains, cafes, food trucks, and various ethnic cuisine options.

    Any suggestions for roles to look for if you have an interest in working towards a PM role, but are not yet ready for PM?

    • @tryexponent
      @tryexponent  10 месяцев назад +2

      Hey! One of the most direct routes is to aim for an Associate Product Manager (APM) position. These roles are essentially entry-level PM roles and are designed to help you build the necessary skills and experience in product management. You can find some openings at apmlist.com.
      Alternatively, you could also consider roles in project management, which share many similarities with product management and can provide valuable experience in handling projects, teams, and deadlines. This experience can be very beneficial when transitioning to a PM role.
      Another approach is to look for roles that are specific to the industry you're interested in. For instance, if you're keen on working in tech, roles in software development, UX/UI design, or data analysis can provide relevant experience and a deeper understanding of the field. This industry-specific knowledge can be a great asset in a product management role.
      Lastly, don't overlook the importance of roles that emphasize soft skills, such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving. Roles in customer service, sales, or marketing can also provide relevant experiences that are transferable to a PM role.
      Hope this helps!

    In your opinion, what are the main sections hiring managers want to see in a candidate's resume? Strategy? Prioritisation? Negotiations? Product Marketing? Testing? user Research? How do you categorise your experience in a skills-based CV?
