It would be pretty awful though. It'd have an even higher profile than the normal Sherman, with the same armor, and it infact weighed even more (51 tons) than a Pershing (46 tons) and the Pershing is not exceptionally maneuverable to begin with. Might as well have the M36B1 instead. Edit: The 102,000 pound figure that discusses the 90mm Sherman is actually for a hypothetical Jumbo with the Pershing turret, which was not built. So this guy would weigh a much more manageable 35-40 tons. Not bad, but still doesn't resolve the height issue.
@@getdunced631 you got a point, but considering that it might be lower tier than the Pershing (5.7-6.0 maybe??), but it's got it's turret, it'll be pretty op in a hull down scenario
I have no idea if this is true or real. But I remember as a kid reading an old magezine from my grandfathers from the 50's or 60's. It had tank designs that were being considered to replace the current tank of the time. I believe the Patton ( Might be wrong ) But I remember that there was this page saying along the lines that; It not being a tank that is familiar to people of now days. But a tank that will be heavily armored. While featuring a primarily Anti-Infantry and Light armor loadout. They were mentioning machine guns and small caliber main cannons. If I remember, there was meant to be around 4 .50 cals. 2 of them would be on the front with something like a 170 degree turn radius. While another two would be in the back but elevated up and have a full 360 degree turning circle. The main cannon would be either 3 or 4 ( Can't remember ) 30mm cannons. I believe these were the british 30mm Aden cannons. I looked up cannons of the time and these seem to fit the best from what I can remember. I think the thing said that it would have a massive 7 person crew. The idea being that the commander would be a fully dedicated position. 5 of the crew would be in charge of the weapons. 4 of them for the machine guns and the other for the main cannon. I believe it said that these crewmen would also be dedicated to keeping the guns functional and armed. The final man would be in charge of driving. There was a final side note that they could simply add on or remove a infantry compartment to the back of the tank. I always imaged this as like a truck today hooking up a boat to the back. But they were talking about something like modularity. Something that today is really popular in armies. But the idea was that Infantry of the time would rely on AT weaponry to take out heavy armor. Stuff like AT rockets, grenades, and mobile cannons. But the Infantry would need something to help engage enemy infantry. There was also the idea that while Infantry might be able to take out enemy tanks. They might struggle with the more numerous and deadlier to infantry IFV's. So having a heavy and slow vehicle able to take on enemies and IFV's with ease would be great. I have no idea how much of this is what I remember and what my mind has filled the blanks in. It has been like 15-Years or so. Was around 6 or 7 at the time. This could've been one of those magezines that were meant to just be interesting ideas. Not really meant to be taken serious. I also have no idea how easily 30mm Aden Cannons could fit in a tank. Let alone 3 or so. Let alone how effective they'd be. Either way. I wonder how effective these things would actually be in the battlefield? If you had a vehicle where speed wasn't an issue. Where you could armor it as much as possible. How effective would this be for Infantry? If you look at now days, you see Infantry support being a higher priority. But this is in the time that Infantry doesn't need to worry about enemy armor. While Infantry AT is a lot more powerful then Infantry AT of the 60's or so. You do have an issue where tanks are getting a lot tougher to kill. I do wonder though. Since this vehicle had Anti-Aircraft cannons on them ( Assuming it's the right cannon) Would this be an AA vehicle as well? The turret would have to be fairly maneuverable.
France does need more anti-air, but the same could be said for all nations. Anti-air seems to not be popular until your team is getting steamrolled by CAS.
after looking up different ELCs i learned theres a goofy ahh ontos but made into an ELC, same 6 barrel configuration, but all horizontally mounted and no barrels above one another, or at least a mockup of it
I just want the O-I super heavy so we can give the T95 a run for its money in thickness, it wouldn't be a good tank but it be ultimate in "Mobile Bunker"
I honestly felt as if the Canadian Skink would've better fixed the SPAA gap in the British tech tree not even as a joke, I honestly think it'd be a cool tank to have
I went into an ELC EVEN 30 once or twice years ago, I was still a teenager, so a quite a smaller stature that today but even then I remember this thing being quite cramped.
The only tank I’m wishing for is the Ter variant of the P.43 It is an Italian project for a heavy tank, derived from the P.40, (a wooden mock-up was built, as well as the engine for it) armed with the cannone 90/53 (the one found on the Breda 501).
Toyota Hilux Line: 12.7mm machine gun version Autocannon AA version Dumb fire RPG version MANPAD AA version And for top teir, that semi truck with a T55 turret on the back
You got something wrong about the ELC EVEN 30, It's not HS 825, but HS 831(HSS 831L in France). Two wildly different guns but the same caliber. I have a seen many people say it's 825 but that's just internet being wrong. On some forums, They claim it had 825 but fired 30x170, which is wrong, The 825 fired the 30x136 the same one on the saggyboi, it never had AP. Hell, in the museum in France the sign infront of the remaining EVEN 30 even says HSS 831L. The French already had many HSS 831L in service with a ton of ammo for it, why would they use a failed weapon from 2 decades prior. The HS 831 had APDS for ground use, a muzzle velocity of 1330m/s with 32mm of penetration at 60 degrees at 1000 meters. Producing 191'677 ft. lbs of muzzle energy. But Gaijin will be lazy and give it the Warriors APDS with 1175m/s muzzle velocity like they did on the other HS 831 weapons ingame. Already made a bug/historical report on the subject.
You should check out these Italian milk trucks with massive cannons. Would just be goofy Italian flak busses: Autocannone de 75/27 , autocannone 102/35, Breda 52, and autocannone de 90/53
Speaking of ELC, gotta have that AMX ELC bis with the 90mm D.915 cannon. 6.7 ton combat weight w/ 36 rounds of ammunition. 250hp engine. 37.31 HP/t p/w ratio. Max speed: 80km/h 4.94m long, 2.24m wide, and 1.58m high. Crew: Driver and Commander-Gunner-Radio-Loader Summary: sanic speed tank

If I dont mistaken theres a similar one in french tech tree
The ELC French tank looks like a Star Wars vehicle
And that's why I love it
Toyota Hilux with a DShK or set of recoilless rifles
The Sherman CEV would be a lot like the AVRE or a sturmpanzer, and it’s always cool to see engineering vehicles in Game
Now THIS is the kind of content I want to see!
It would be hard to find something more "dumb" than the MAUS.
They need to add my country’s tech tree so we can have bob semple 11.0
Except he picked the worst anti air france has to offer
one of those jeeps with the recoiless rifle/launcher would be sick too
after looking up different ELCs i learned theres a goofy ahh ontos but made into an ELC, same 6 barrel configuration, but all horizontally mounted and no barrels above one another, or at least a mockup of it
gotta love that subnautica theme ost in the background
I just want the O-I super heavy so we can give the T95 a run for its money in thickness, it wouldn't be a good tank but it be ultimate in "Mobile Bunker"
it will probably never be added, even the blueprints are bad
thanks for another Video Spookston!!
I personally want that Combat Engineer Churchill that had the Spigot Mortar. It's like a snubnose FV.
Can America get the t92 motor howitzer carrier, America needs some deep and 5 were built
Yes, this
Would be nice if you'd let the tank you're talking about be on the screen for a while, or more pictures of it kinda in a corner
I honestly felt as if the Canadian Skink would've better fixed the SPAA gap in the British tech tree
not even as a joke, I honestly think it'd be a cool tank to have
I went into an ELC EVEN 30 once or twice years ago, I was still a teenager, so a quite a smaller stature that today but even then I remember this thing being quite cramped.
Why is it, only you keep me coming back to WT. Your videos are so nice to watch. It clouds me of what I hate about the game, until I play it again.
The only tank I’m wishing for is the Ter variant of the P.43
It is an Italian project for a heavy tank, derived from the P.40, (a wooden mock-up was built, as well as the engine for it) armed with the cannone 90/53 (the one found on the Breda 501).
Toyota Hilux Line:
12.7mm machine gun version
Autocannon AA version
Dumb fire RPG version
MANPAD AA version
And for top teir, that semi truck with a T55 turret on the back
Great video, the Sherman looked pretty cool
I would love the M24 with 6x50cal best SPAA ever
The whole of the Kubinka collection of prototypes should be added in game , they where made and tested and known specifics
I kinda wanna see the TR-85 in the game, be cool Premium or Event vehicle for Italy/USSR.
What about the "Tonk", it should definitely get added
I'm surprised it hasn't been an April fools vehicle.
@@sheldonray5308 yeah same
You got something wrong about the ELC EVEN 30, It's not HS 825, but HS 831(HSS 831L in France).
That rocket would be the all his points are in unarmed meme
1:47 looks like a dam dual laser cannon on a Star Wars venator
I see your CAT/LCV and raise you the B1 Centauro with the 60mm autoloading turret
I love the decal Spookston! :D
I would love to see more engineers vehicles like churchill AVRE and m1150 added to the game
You should check out these Italian milk trucks with massive cannons. Would just be goofy Italian flak busses: Autocannone de 75/27 , autocannone 102/35, Breda 52, and autocannone de 90/53
"ah, I see you are a man of music culture as well."
You should take a look at Strv 2000 / Projekt 1300. In WT if that project was ever finished, it'd be one of the most overpowered vehicles in the game.
I’d love if they added the Canadian M4 with the 4 .50s mounted for SPAA
Give me that Combat Engineering Sherman now. Right now. Inject it into my veins
First time here, but man I love Subnautica soundtrack. Keep up the work man
Speaking of ELC, gotta have that AMX ELC bis with the 90mm D.915 cannon.
6.7 ton combat weight w/ 36 rounds of ammunition.
250hp engine.
37.31 HP/t p/w ratio.
Max speed: 80km/h
4.94m long, 2.24m wide, and 1.58m high.
Crew: Driver and Commander-Gunner-Radio-Loader
Summary: sanic speed tank
On a real note I can't imagine Spookston's voice sounding any different ever
I know this isn't dumb but Damn i would love the humvee's tech tree with all the convencional models (light AA and ATGM carriers) and bizarre prototypes
talking calmly while murderin whole enemy team perfect spookston video
Respect to people like you who can actually tolerate this game and play it for more than 1 match. I'm only 4.0 br and I hate this game more than anything else I've played so far.
I love the little sneaky bastard ELC Even 30 in WoT.
All of these are cool and all but I think deep down we all want the bob semple tank
The Italian War Scooter needs added. It has GOT to be in there.
Fv 101 Scorpion and scimitar would also be very cool little additions
