SO I tried this process again but when trying to install "stump Root" I get the error cant open file??? I wanted to install the latest Official CM12, however before doing it I thought I needed to be rooted again.

I was on lollipop and used AutoRec for my D852, and I got HARD BRICKED. What an awful experience... Did you have the latest version of Lollipop installed? and which G3 model? So maybe I can install this when I have my phone repaired

You forgot to mention that you need to change the storage area for backup to external SD card otherwise if you do a hard reset you will lose all your backups.
You forgot to mention the most important part, DONT ALLOW YOUR ANDROID TO PERFORM A SOFTWARE UPDATE. Well, this happened to me and now my phone can't get out of the recovery screen. Can someone please help me? :(
Frederick Aquino luckily for you I had no choice but to spend a few hours figuring it out. You have to flash the stock firmware back onto the phone. G3LO D ULTIMO That application isnt well enogh. same thing happened with me too... you use another root checker named "root check"

You have to unroot your device. Look up a video on it, I did it today and then I rooted once again.

Andrea Paini I tried installing TWRP on my LG G3 with 5.0 Lollipop and none of them worked. I tried these methods with my 4.4.2 LG G3 and they worked.
