These are a dream compared to the trash Squire I had in the 90s when I was growing up. I love these cheap guitars as mod platforms, now in my 30's I'm finally able to afford to learn "how" the instrument I've loved my whole life actually functions. I wouldn't rip apart a Gibson, but a $140 piece of a China? Sure why not.
These GearITs fascinate me, especially the LP with P-90s that mysteriously disappeared off the internet. I would say Amazon guitars absolutely can be good - even great. Eart, WestCreek, Monoprice, Donner...all worthy instruments, in my estimation.
I have several of these GEARIT guitars and I think they are pretty good with some amazing features and looks. You totally missed that both the Strat and the tele style have coil-splitting pickup in the bridge position.
Just bought the gearit Tele I noticed the nut was high, so I decided to change the strings, when I did the nut broke in half. I replaced the nut with a bone and now it plays perfectly
I really like the color of the seafoam green strat. It's always a pleasure to see you bring these guitars back into better condition with such care. Thanks Dane!
I got the Thinline tele last week, it was only $75, with P90 (I didn't have one), coil splitting, and POSSIBLY stainless steel frets??? Yes, they smooth, and rounded ends. It's extremely possible. I was disappointed in some cosmetic and finish issues, but not too much for the price, and the frets and pickups COMPLETELY make up for it. Scar My Guitar thinks that the solid wood is red oak, which is HEAVY, and I think he's right. I absolutely LOVE it, just got to get use to the weight 😂
@ZIMMSGUITARS Please do demos of these guitar! Also if new guitar amps arrive at your shop, please do demos of those. Keep up the great work Dane! I enjoy watching your content! Someday when I'm in the Mesa area, I'll drop by your shop and demo some guitars there! Keep rockin' my friend, and don't stop playing! Every time I watch your videos, it's like I'm literally inside your shop demoing guitars, asking questions about your shop, and the gear that's there!
great pair of guitars brother! did you get a chance to grab some sound samples before you gave em back to the customer? im looking at that tele model myself....
Dane, do you do fixup work on gretsch guitars? My favorite guitar needs a new pickup selector and maybe a good once over and was just wondering if thats something you could help an old punk with?
So mellow so smart so laid back so good. You can work on my guitar anytime, buddy. Well. I probably can't afford you but anyways good content man love you so I learn a lot every time I watch. Keep going pal
Many Chinese guitars are made in the same factories and by the same people as US brand guitars are. So why wouldnt they be good? They might not come set up great right out of the box, but Ive had US made Gibsons and Fenders that were not set up worth a crap too.
Many of the Chinese guitars i have worked in come equipped with two way truss rods. I find this funny brcause i can not grt one on an expensive guitar like a Gibson or Fender.
I really like your channel. Just found it recently. I like hometown music stores. They're becoming a rarity. Is there a phone number that I could call to order? My guitar supplies from you. Strings cleaners picks straps what have ybut I am. We don't have anything here like that now Local guitar shops music stores
compared to the terrible guitars we learned on in the early 60's these new guitars are a dream

Are tvs, microwaves, telephones and basically anything electronic better than it was THEN? DAMN.

After 16 years of marriage, I could use some relief in the neck as well. Lol.
Bwaaahaha ahhhh shit lol
Great work my friend! Nice playing and nice sound!!🎸
Great video man! By the way for the Strat Amazon says is an Ash body
I have both of these and love them.
Hi, do you know what the body routing is on this particular strat style guitar? Is it a swimming pool route? HSS route? HSH? Something else? thanks!
great video and restringing. these are not bad guitars at all and you got them sounding ok. thanks for posting
I really like the Strat. If it was a lefty you phone would have already rang. I can't see it hanging around long it's so nice.
great pair of guitars brother!

Nice looking firewood, any strat that heavy, doesn't even qualify for a wall hanger, very nice looking guitars,a ton of fun right.
Awesome Video Dane 👍🏼💯
Unlike a lot of other manufacturers, the Chinese seem to be listening to their customers feedback, just need better quality control

Whoa! Thats a Big Bottle of Dunlop 65 Polish/Cleaner! 🤘👽👽👽🎸
The bodies are mahogany although it will be African which looks and sounds similar. It isn't ...but it is very good. PRS use it.
That model is ash. The one with the vintage trem is mahogany.
You should have seen some of the English made crap cheap guitar I learnt on lol.
Yes
Dane been wanting to call and see what you had on some possible a G&L ASAT or Other 🦃🦃🦃🤘🎸🤠
I like that "Gumby" model

Both of my SX guitars have 2 ways. I upgraded the pickups with used MIM pickups. They sound great!
They look pretty nice for Amazon guitars..
Looks like they are getting better at building them.
they claim the wood is ashe
Really cheap guitars from Amazon should be avoided. And probably don’t need to be at all. Although my plywood Kramer is still rocking so…?
Paid 48 bucks no problems
They’re heavy because they’re using green wood. They’re not drying the wood for years, or even months. These make great mod platforms though.
Just leave it out of the Sun for a couple of weeks and let it dry out. LOL
That model is ash. That is why it is heavy.
The other model with the vintage trem is mahogany.

Again, only 21 frets.
There are plenty of sub $200 guitars with 24 frets, though, like Volgoa.
@@xCr00k3Dx Yeah! I've noticed that.
