I hope they give him at least a season . I mean I get it , it’s a 6th but you got to give him a full season to get back on track . He needs structure and a plan to recover his career .
You failed to mention how he originally announced he was returning them abruptly announced he was leaving. That alone tells you he probably didn't have a sound off season plan for training and was probably rushed or not taken as seriously
It’s not just his advisors fault. He would of known his testing results up to the combine. He knows what previous scores are. He is an adult himself and has to take responsibility. He could of not signed up on his own back
He has a shot to make the Pats' roster, but by no means a lock. Some think he has to beat out Kendrick Bourne to grab a spot. If Boutte is smart, he'll get together with Mac Jones early and often and play the Brady-AB game of get-to-know-ya.
Kayshon looked like his old self against Georgia on that one play that he housed. So my guess is that he just didn’t put in the work post season. Wish him well in the future no matter what.
I'll never forget the first game of the year against FSU, Kayshon walks in the Superdome with some purple shades...I didn't even see former LSU players wearing sunglasses inside. That was so disappointing to see. I have no doubt Coach Kelly chewed him out for that. In my opinion, Boutte didn't like the way Jayden threw him the ball as opposed to Nussmeir, and would openly show his frustration, embarrassing his teammates. He had a lot of drops this past year and half of them were due to lack of effort. I agree, he started celebrating with his teammates later in the year, but it all seemed forced to me, either by the coaches or by his family/representatives.
Kayshon knew he hadn’t been 100% all year. That’s why he initially decided to come back. Then, after getting into some trouble, he was suspended for the bowl game. I believe he either made an emotional decision to enter the draft, OR he was forced out to kill the rumors and to keep from being a distraction. Either way, it has resulted in him costing himself a ton of money on the front end. He still has his pro day to right the wrongs. We’ll see where he goes from here.
The thing I would implore to the young man is just be healthy by camp. Rashid Shaheed went undrafted but by end of rookie season was WR2 for Saints. So where you're drafted will not matter as much, but you need to show up ready (healthy, body optimized). All of the testing matters but what your do on field will matter most.
I am good with his drop in the draft. Now the Pats got him for a 6th!!! All upside and no risk. It is probably good for the player to go to great coaching and to know they are not heavily invested in him.
Eating too many bowls of red beans and rice? Seafood gumbo? Jambalaya? Too many vignettes & cafe au latte in New Orleans? Many a times, over hyping a player goes haywire! He better hit the gym and the practice field like yesterday!
He should have stay and allow BK and the staff to keep working with him to make him the best professional football player he could be, i hope his combine numbers don’t hurt him to bad!!
He's a new Ferrari that already got totaled , doesn't handle the same and pulls to the right . The doors don't shut all the way either . We got it at an auction .
It’s simple, Work ethic problem only. Glad he’s gone tbh. Agree with others, Chase laid out the how to on this. Dedicate and spend a year solely on getting paid and making an impression on pro day.
Seems like last years issue's combined with this year's issues played a big roll in this not so good showing. I wish him the best and hope he makes it with an NFL team.

And anyone who understands football knows, some guys are just field fast and won’t test high in events that tell us absolutely nothing about a player lol. My bet is he’ll end up a steal and in a pretty good situation because of this. @@wayneemery6785 The entire reason why Kayshon Boutte lobbied openly so hard during the spring and the summer prior to the 2022 season for Nuss to be named the starter is because he knew that if Brian Kelly was stupid enough to name the worse passer on the team by a mile the starter, that his draft stock would take a nose dive. This explains his season. It wasn’t JD5. Boutte lead the team in dropped “passes”.
