  • LSU has been producing a ton of big time WRs over the last few years, but Kayshon Boutte had a chance to be the best of them all. After a historic freshman season and a blazing sophomore year, Boutte was off to a hot start, but ever since then, he has seen a free fall and went from a top 10 pick to a 6th round selection in just one year, so what happened to Boutte? Let’s talk about it, enjoy!

      Makes perfect sense. He also made a comment in an interview I think last summer when asked about what advice Jamar gave him, and he said they both agreed that no one wants to be at college and that it's just something they gotta get through before making the NFL. Speaking as an LSU fan, the offense we ran his first 2 years with coach O was very pass heavy and the one BK brought it was a lot more run heavy so there were less passes to go around, Jayden Daniels just had better chemistry with Malik nabers and Mason Taylor, and Boutte became a father midseason.

    Its another BB experiment which I dislike and its so puzzling that we've failed at WR core so badly in years from drafts. I still wouldve taken Jaxon Smith! Gauranteed returns man. Plenty of good CBs were there to take late

    • @liamlyda2116
      @liamlyda2116 Год назад

      I can't disagree with you more. Gonzalez is the prototypical BB CB and a top 10 talent in the draft. You have to take him there.
      JSN wouldn't have nearly as much of an impact as Gonzo day one.
      Taking two dart throws in the 6th on (imo) good receivers is a smart move.

    • @YelaDuck
      @YelaDuck Год назад

      @@liamlyda2116 tell me how the Chiefs won a Super Bowl with 9 rookies?(primarily defensive) . These aren't the old days where number 1 defense win straight out. Yes I believe in a good defense but tk have a great defense and average offense is a lost play off game waiting to occur.

    • @liamlyda2116
      @liamlyda2116 Год назад

      @AndrewLifts My point is, in a weak WR class, you don't take a WR because you feel you have to. Instead, take a position of value and a position of need. CB fills both those roles, and you are getting a top 10 talent in the draft.
      JSN isn't nothing incredibly special. A slot WR isn't worth a top 20 pick and JSN wouldn't make much of an impact on the offense, when they already have JuJu and Gesicki playing in the slot.
      Whereas, Gonzo is a prototypical CB1 and boundary CB. Something the Patriots severely lacked.
      In a division with Jaylen Waddle, Tyreek Hill, Garrett Wilson, and Stefon Diggs, having a lockdown CB is EXTREMELY important. Bill drafting a CB1 in round 1 (which he rarely ever does) shows just how important that position is.
      JSN is an overrated prospect with injury concerns. Is he a good player? Yes. Is he vital for the Patriots offense and a can't miss prospect? Hell no.
      There will be another JSN in nearly every draft class. But having a CB1 fall into your lap at 17 is not something that ever occurs.
