Crazy how the majority of southside stations are highway median stations. Urban renewal and disinvestment bulldozed those neighborhoods for the highways.
Actually the Highway came way earlier with Subway Route plan in mind most highway in America were like this but the Blue line Congress branch was fuck over it was supposed to be 4 track they push it back to 2 for more lane on the highway instead same with Patco and Lirr their where a lot of proposal for route to go into the middle of highway it not great in terms but one thing I can say at the CTA built the LKR their design had improved and looked incredible which kick off to other city to follow behind but never pull thought
It's because they feel like they can get away with doing this to the black neighborhoods.
Thank you for considering Accessibility in your rankings
This guy knows his stations!
I live close to the howard station and take a bus or train almost daily and every day i dream about redesigning it
Out of all the Red Line Ⓜ️ I’ve visited: Howard in S, Loyola in 🅰️, Bryn Mawr in D, Berwyn in D, Argyle in C, Sheridan in C, Addison in 🅱️, Belmont in S, Fullerton in S, ⬆️/Clybourn in C, Chicago/State in 🅰️, Grand/State in 🅱️, Lake in S, Monroe in C, Jackson in S, Harrison in D, Roosevelt in 🅰️, Cermak-Chinatown in 🅰️, & Sox-35th in 🅱️
Idk what's so bad about Roosevelt, Jackson, and 79th I've been to them often so there not that bad for me but it could also be off of personal experience.
It is the 79th bus that I hate riding, lol. That is my least favorite line.
79 is horrid
I would have to get off there to go to my mom's job when I was younger
People were always fighting
I would have random people trying to ask me things and talk to me
Very uncomfortable
Never really had this at the other Southside stations
Jackson and Roosevelt from what I've seen over the years Is largely fine especially since there are usually so many people there that you get a general sense of safety
@@brandoncole5533 oh yeah. I have a story for just about every time I ride that bus. I am often the only white dude on there and people have occasionally tried to hassle me for that. Takes some getting used to. It’s like, come on man. I am just trying to get to where I am going. In that area of town, I have had better experiences on the 71 and the 75. They are a bit more chill.
I'm closer to the Howard station but I'll occasionally go to or exit the train at Jarvis because people are constantly smoking at the Howard station.🙄🙄 Even worse is people will smoke in the station lobby and the CTA attendant won't do anything.
I wish the Granville stop had an auxillary exit and entrance considering how many people get off at that stop for grocery shopping at Aldi. The sidewalk leading to the station is pretty narrow, especially on the southern side of Granville.
I agree that Addison is a more appropriate stop for the Purple line. Sheridan is a very inaccessible station. A few times I've seen people carrying a stroller up the stairs and those people would have been better served by an elevator.
I intentionally moved to the north side close to the Red Line because of the great transit access. I use the the Uptown,Edgewater, and Rogers Park stations the most when I'm not using my bike.
I use Fullerton & sometimes Belmont to transfer to Brown & sometimes Purple if it comes 🥇 during &/or if I couldn’t take it from Howard or Wilson & transfer to mostly Green & sometimes Orange @ Roosevelt
U gotta make a 🆕 vid 🔂 the line is extended from 95th-130th
not yet
not yet, they haven’t even dug in a shovel yet
@@youwereprettylasttimeisawy1227 I’m saying once they do, then make a vid
What's sketchy about the area around Wilson? From my experience it's a really nice part of Uptown
My ranking of the Red Line Ⓜ️ I’ve visited, Howard in S, Loyola in 🅱️, Sheridan in D, Addison in 🅰️, Belmont in 🅰️, Fullerton in 🅰️, North/Clyborn in C, Chicago/State in B, Grand/State in C, Lake in S, Monroe in D, Jackson in S, Harrison in D, Roosevelt in S, Cermak-Chinatown in 🅰️, & Sox-35th in 🅱️; I’ve been to Berwyn, Bryn Mawr, & Argyle but they all r being renovated so I’ll saw those for later but pre-renovation is Bryn Mawr in D, Berwyn in D, & Argyle in C
My favorite is Wilson because I live near the Wilson stop!
so helpful!
Can you do an other line tier list
I will at some point soon. I'm planning on doing the Green line next
you should add f tier
79th station is So bad contains heavy amount of gang activity I hate it alot never ever that
Don't forget about the smell of piss😂
@@InkyTheIdiot ok
Sheridan feels way overrated considering how nerve-wracking those stairs are.
