IMO "Van -go" is a correct pronunciation of Vincent's sir name. He said in a letter to Theo that he didn't expect French speakers to say "Van gogck " or whatever. He was known in Paris as "Van-Go" He himself asked in another letter to Theo that he would like to be known simply as "Vincent" Vincent the painter"
Jo was a real one! She took the love she had for her husband, brother in law, and art and dedicated her life to championing Vincent and his work. A love letter of sorts. ❤
Another unsung hero: Emily Dickinson's sister Lavinia. Without her, Dickinson's poems never would have been shown to the world (although there were a few published during her lifetime).
Wow! This needs to be shown to anyone who suffers from depression. What a wonderful story. And yes, DO see that Dr Who episode. And not missed was the reference to AI recreating some of what 'could' be the scene of his art exhibits.
@Newsthink Can you imagine the young widow Jo Bonger with too little money, her infant son (named Vincent after his tragic uncle) and the greatest and most valuable collection of art treasures in history. In her Paris Apartment ... little Vincent crying .. in a room filled with paintings worth untold millions

I'm convinced one of the worst things that ever happened to Vincent was meeting/moving in with Gauguin. It can't be a coincidence that that event was the negative turning event in his life.
Or those teenage boys who bullied Van Gogh got carried away with their guns pretending they were pioneers of the Wild West! Goggle Starry Night. The New Story of Vincent Van Gogh by: Joe Moody. Myth #2 Busted. I think you'll like it.
Nasal sounds like -an, -en, -in, or -un that exist in French are very hard for non native french speakers. I'm french myself and it used to bother me when i was a child, to see people mispronouncing french nasal sounds (which was stupid because i couldn't pronounce foreign sounds either but i was young and dumb), but then i found out how rare such nasal sounds are and how difficult it is for foreign people to get them right. All of this to say that just, don't blame people for mispronouncing a foreign sound even if i totally get that it can be frustrating for native speakers
It feels like a superhero movie! She worked so hard racing against time to get the Van Gogh name out there! Certainly one of greatest stories ever told! Deserves a movie!

This should be a film
I think a series will be coming out!
@@Newsthink I’ll be looking out!
Agreed! And with that fantasy ending of taking Van Gogh into the future to see his museum but with Jo and Theo, too!❤❤❤
There is a great Van Gogh film called "Lust for Life", but I guess Jo's story would be the sequel to it.

Thank you for introducing me to such a wonderful and important person.

1:39 watch the film "Loving Vincent".. it is believed, by some, that he was murdered, that he did not shoot himself. 4:41
5:55 - I guess she was a "capitalist" after all :)
Your video's are such high quality and interesting. I'm still a great admirer.
We appreciate the animations and narration style in your videos, Cindy! Happy new years
It was never proven he shot himself.

Brilliance at its height.
Women. We need you. ❤
Men. We need you, too! ❤
The dedication!
I hope someone will make the movie about her, Theo, their son and anyone supporting Van Goh.
Amazing work. I see a Netflix documentary coming...
What happened to the video of John Paulson? I just tried to show someone and it’s been deleted.
He didn't shot himself, his old gun trigger went off when he drop his gun and got shot.
Or those teenage boys who bullied Van Gogh got carried away with their guns pretending they were pioneers of the Wild West!

LOL Cindy you missed the golden opportunity to promote the fantastic "investment" Masterworks
okay, there is no way you’re using AI art in a video about a struggling artist
Vincent had a great family
This is amazing. Thanks.
I hope you'll cover Filipino heroes like Jose Rizal. Thanks
Hahhahahhahahahahahahahhaahhahahaha😂😂😅😂😅😅😅 No need! Theres nothing special about Jose Rizal. And Filipino History is full of Bullshit
It took a hefty amount of advertising to turn shit into gold.

You mispronounce "en" in St-Remy-the-Provence.
