the boys now have a parts guy and are buying all legit parts, working on it with an eye for detail, and building this thing back to 100% OEM spec. Incredible. Love to see it.
Now there's an idea! You could install a gaming pc and run BeamNG Drive on it, with multiple screens, and have a force feedback steering wheel, that should be loads of fun 😉🙃
I like this build. The Senna reminds me of the builds from back in the day. Good work in today's video. I have two boys, and although they're older, it's special for me to see you with your Pops.
Love the tempo and the flow of the video. Def a great great job on repairing the Senna. You guys deserve a subscribe! Look forward to the next episode.
Those dark and light patches that you sanded on the carbon is left over base on top of the resin, that's all it is. If your "carbon guy" is telling you that you've hit the weave then maybe you need to re-consider what he's sharing with you. It's exactly the same with the fabric/tools you bought, there is nothing wrong with that fabric, the strands aren't different sizes they are just misplaced from handling which happens every single time unless you buy pre-inpregnated carbon cloth - this stabilises the weave before it is handled by humans and holds it together with a crystallised resin which melts and cures under heated pressure. Unless you plan on making exact mould replicas then you cannot lay pre-preg cloth down, it has to be cured against a B side of a mould to look cosmetically appealing.
I want to see the "proper" carbon he recommends. these guys looked at the outside of the roll that was bouncing around in a shipping box and said its NG? LOL.
@ oh for sure, any knowledge is worth having.. it was more the advice they were given by the "tree of carbon wisdom" 😆 other viewers may be put off experimenting / trying to use carbon fiber because of this. Carbon skinning panels and trims is the way I got into the world of composites.
@ literally, don't get me wrong prepreg will always have a superior finish partly due to the fact there's no slip in any of the tow's, but mostly because it has to be cured inside of a mould which will always yield good cosmetic results; which you can do with wet laying carbon cloth too.
Same i thought, no way will they fine parts for this thing! But then they said it's a fancy 720 and I'm like ohh sh!t they're going to actually do it! Lol
Paint remover damages carbon , guys paint remover dissolves the epoxy that’s is holding the carbon together, I used to do bicycle carbon and when sanding ppl use a sand box but with plastic and Kevlar pebbles because sand is eats up carbon , also for safety, sanding carbon dry is bad for lungs , it’s carbon specs all over and it’s like glass , so please always watersanding , and guys you are the best , I love that scena
@JG-nx3jg If you're in Sydney mate! Dobinsons started in Rockhampton and is built for the touhgest of the tough offloading. Yes they've expanded nationally but they still build to a quality to cope with some pretty inaccessible places to most folks. If you're from anywhere north of Brisbane and go off road, I mean REAL off road 4WDriving, anybody worth their salt knows what you need and their equipment has stood the toughest tests.
I’m so happy to see you guys are showing this car the respect it deserves. Ayrton senna is my all time favourite driver. The guy was just that little bit more special than everyone else. Would have been nice if he was around to see it 👌🏻.
You guys rock! Honestly you just get on with it, no small talk and endless waffle! Just top quality build content. Plus everything is buttoned up perfect, usually better than OEM with all the trick additions. Keep em coming guys ❤❤❤
Like Senna, I am also Brazilian. It is a source of pride to see you recovering a jewel with his name on it. Congratulations on your talent. You are ninjas when it comes to disassembling and assembling a plane like this. It is impressive, congrats!!!
You guys are doing a fantastic job. Getting a Cheep tub. What a result. Well done for being so honest about the carbon prep mistake. I did get a bit concerned when I saw you ripping in to that roof with the 80 grit on a full blast da 😮I bet it will look amassing when finished
Remember when Tavarish said that Goonzquad don't build cars like his? Now look at them, building something better than his cars and in way less time. lmao
Honestly I can’t watch Tavarish or dumbest car mechanic guy because they are smart but they act stupid or dumb. They they put themselves in situations and act like they didn’t know
Wow you guys have come along way!! Would like to mention your old series on the Ferrari 458 really helped us with alignment on our copart salvage rebuild. So thank you !! ❤ we are a long way from your level of rebuilds but seem to be getting some positive response from RUclips. Again to you and so many others thanks for showing us anything is possible
they're not gonna put it on the lift just for one thing when having it on stands in the middle of the shop where they can get better access all around is better for the entire rest of the job
@TiffCat yea thats it, wouldn't anyone with a lift big or small project throw it up there instead of jacking a car up grabbing creeper to go under it?? Seems like a convenience thing..I get it's their storage racks but still be useful
Man! Its beyond me how it is that you can tear down a car to bare bones and then figure out how to put it back together. Sure you have pictures and video to help do that but even with that I would expect that it would take you months to get the thing back together. You all are in a league of your own. I doubt there are very many people that would do what you are doing. Cost wise including your labor it would be way more expensive to do the rebuilds then just to go buy another car I am sure. But then that is your niche. And that is why its so interesting to watch. I've been watching you all for years and you never cease to amaze me. And when one needs to get away from their daily reality you all are so positive and uplifting to watch. Watching your video's are like hanging out with you. Thanks for all that you do!
I don’t know if this has been mentioned but looking at the front bulkhead, is the new tub a right hand drive tub? Noticed the mounting holes for the brake servo on the right hand side of the new tub. I think a little bit of modification is required to make this work guys. Please check to make sure this is possible before you get too far into the build.
I have to say you guys really impressed me with this build after this is said and done there is nothing you guys can’t put together my opinion is truly a gift from God because so many things to think about screws and bolts and you’re able to put it all back together that is amazing God bless you

I remember the days you were rebuilding a jeep wrangler on a cement slab with a pop up tent. It’s amazing to see how far you boys have come!
Yes Sir 💯. I was just thinking that too lol
Good old days for sure
Oh yeah, check my comment, I feel the same....this Senna build reminds me of back in the day.....when the boyz were really putting in work.
Bro, yes I remember as well and I miss the trips to the junkyard
Shoot they're not even boys anymore, they're men now, with wives and families lol 😂
the boys now have a parts guy and are buying all legit parts, working on it with an eye for detail, and building this thing back to 100% OEM spec. Incredible. Love to see it.
There was nothing done to 100% percent oem spec on that Land Cruiser.
They aren’t doing anything to oem spec. This car will fail every test at the factory so will all their other cars
Build a driving simulator with the damaged tub. Just a thought. 😊
That would be amazing
Kit car
Yeah 👍
That's about only thing can can be done with a damaged monocoque.

What he said^^

I was VERY sceptical at first... But damn you guys are gonna make it work...
theyre insane with what they pull off lol
Same i thought, no way will they fine parts for this thing! But then they said it's a fancy 720 and I'm like ohh sh!t they're going to actually do it! Lol
Doubt it
With enough money, anything can be fixed.
@steveg2277 yes offcourse... But the purpose of this build is spending less money than buying an uncrashed one.

I almost died when I saw that. Hope they didn't let it sit on the carbon for a length of time.
Commenting so they see this
Thank Einstein
Bro they literally said they knew it damages carbon and yet here you are repeating them 😂
patience isn't one of their strong suits :) but their "get er' done" attitude got them rich so ....
Good tough Aussie suspension from Dobinsons. They are the best. If it works for tough Aussie conditions, they'll work anywhere.

For context: He said that trying to deflect why he was taking so much time to build when people were comparing him to Goonzquad.
Plus tavarish talks to much, dude needs to take that energy and build cars
