    Good video.
Please make a video on synology and port forwarding - the benefits and also how to set it up. Thanks

Thank you, we are considering other Synology videos and that may include a video on port forwarding, but for now, there are plenty of other tutorial videos on how to port forward a Synology device, including a video by Synology. (see links below)

Hi, you will need to check the Synology Camera Compatibility list - www.synology.com/en-uk/compatibility/camera - if it is not on that list but the camera manufacturer states the model to be ONVIF compliant then you should still be able to connect the camera as an ONVIF device, but as this is not full compatibility some advanced functionality of the camera may not be supported the Synology software.

Hi, It is not something we have done before but it should be possible to link virtual networks, we would recommend posting this topic to our forum and I am sure someone there will be able to advise you. www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/

not working, I can detect the camera as onvif, the connection test is successful but does not display an image, it lets me finish the setup but it never works.

Hi, what model/brand of camera are you trying to connect? is the camera ONVIF complaint? You may be better off contacting the camera supplier or Synology directly to ask their advice for your particular camera model.

@@useIP I have already emailed them, its an Outdoor Security Camera, Koogeek 1080P and model number: TV-6024H-2MP
I can set it up with iSpy and I can see the rtsp feed from vlc media player. I can also use ONVIF MANAGER and see the settings for the camera but I cannot make changes there.
Synology is the only software that sees the camera but doesn't show it's live feed..

While helpful, this video does not cover how to install a camera that does not appear on on the search results screen, which where I'm at.

Hi Lino, The video does state that you can either add the camera by searching for it or enter its IP address in manually, but if the camera has not even appeared in the ONVIF list this will likely mean the camera is not ONVIF compliant and you may not be able to add it to your NAS.
