Excellent review! I've owned my Summit Backpack for 2 years now. The one thing it is missing, for me, is a means to attach a rolled up tent, either at the bottom or top.
@@CDPOutdoors if they just add those bottom attachment points for a sleeping mat or for a small tent more people would definitely buy it I guarantee it
Good video. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking for a lighter backpack for myself, because I've been wondering if I could lighten my camping gear as much as possible.
Thank you Karelian. You're welcome. Going lighter at the same time staying comfortable is a good idea, I hope you achieve the weight that you are comfortable with and is best for you. All the best Clive 🤠
@@CDPOutdoors When a person can get by with as little equipment as possible outside, that's a skill. I have to learn to get by with less but safely. A backpack that is too heavy takes strength and exposes to leg injuries on the way. When people not so young anymore, recovery takes time and people have to find a good balance between the weight and comfort of the equipment.
Thanks for the question. It has been my main pack now for more than two years, a little dirty in places but no damage. I have bush bashed using it, loaded it to the max and no serious wear. I have had other more expensive packs over the years that have not stood up to what I have put this one through. No I would not drag it behind me along the ground. I hope this has answered your question. All the best Clive 🤠
G'day Andrew. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, just got back from bushwalking. Each have their own place, I will be honest with your, I'm using the ops less than the others. It is still a good pack, the others just fit better with what I need. All the best Clive 🤠
That's a hard, but good question. Bivi set up it would be the Helikon Tex Bergen. Hammock set up it would be the Helikon Tex Matilda, Hiking it would be the Helikon Tex Summit. Winter it would be the Tasmanian Tiger Raid MK III. That's the best answer I can give you. All the best Clive
@@CDPOutdoors Awesome. Thank you. I don’t have a store where I can go in and look at these bags I have to watch videos and go based off of that and then order it off the Internet.
@@JohnRando904 you're welcome. I am lucky, I have Survival Supplies Australia 10 minute drive away. But also not so good, I spend more money 😂🤣😂 All the best Clive

Hi Alexander.
I agree, that is the one thing missing.

Yea that's the exact reason I'm not buying it otherwise I definitely would have
Maybe I should send them an email with a link to the video.
They may add attachment points in the future.

Got one just like that, good pack, but it's about an inch or two short for my torso length.
I'm a bit of a short ass, so fits me well lol
Yep it is a nice pack, Ideal for hiking lightweight.

Clive
how tall are you?
5'6"
@waroologist how tall are you, just wondering whether or not the pack is suitable. I'm 6'3"
How's the durability of this pack? And I think if someone got a long torso belt would sit somewhere in a middle of the abdomen?
Thanks for the question.
