Yo man, I know you have been going down the EM rabbit hole lately, but I also saw your reactions to Evanescence. Since you have an appreciation for vocalists you should check out Amaranth by Nightwish and either Solitare/Rule the World (first song is the intro to the album and leads directly into the second) or Ghost Opera by Kamelot. Both bands have powerful vocals with very well produced music.

1:10 you were born a decade or two too late. I remember when all of Eminem's big hits dropped. I was a junior in high school when My Name Is came out. I was a senior when The Marshall Mathers LP(which to me, is one of the greatest albums of all time) came out. My entire generation was hooked.

Same. And at the time my daughter was about 6 months old and my ex left me. And I was so upset and so low, and this song kind of made me put things in perspective sometimes. Ya know, I see my baby, suddenly I'm not crazy, it all makes sense when I look in to her eyes. In the end I wasn't the one missing out on her most important years.

☺️ Em always talks about himself and his life. Shady gives you the evil mirror, but if he's rapping as Em, you get what's going on in his life. Maybe not all of it, but what he chooses to show. I think that's why Em stays so big. He's shares less now, but the first 7 years or so if his career he was an open book. You'd see it in the news, in magazines, on TV, the internet, all of his personal drama, then it'd show up in his music. he might stretch things or exaggerate, or even talk you in circles, but he doesn't lie. How many artists give that much of themselves to you? That's why I fw KDots new album so much too.

Did you ever listen to Mockingbird that gives you a little background on his relationship with his ex-wife Kim that's when she went to jail for a drug charge and he had Haley for a little while I thought he was keeping her but I forget what happened anyway we did end up getting her in a court battle I think that's how we ended up keeping Haley growing up Elena who is his Uncle Ronnie's daughter he passed away so he ended up adopting Elena then Kim came to him a couple of years later and said she was pregnant and it ended up not being his but he adopted Whitney because the guy she was with was a drug addict in the NFL passing away so Eminem adopted Whitney if you ask me Eminem is a great man. Plus I think he took over custody of his little brother Nate I'm not really sure but I know Nate lives with him now
