- This is probably my favorite elite blaster so far. The strongarm is the maverick reimagined and improved in almost every way imagineable. Its a superior sidearm to most of the alternatives in foam blasting as well, easilly outclassing both the maverick and the spectre and the firestrike. It beats most modified versions of non-elite blasters without even tinkering with it yet. Its just a really cool blaster and a ton of fun to play with straight out of the box.

I remember when the elite line first came out, I would sit and think, damn i wish they would make an elite maverick.
They made an elite repaint
People get really annoyed when a new nerf gun claims to fire up to 75 feet. But if you concentrate enough it says UP TO 75 feet meaning it can reach 75 feet at its max, not its average
I'd be much more impressed with this if it said 50 feet and found out it occasionally shot 75.

i just bought one at meijer, and stock, whistler darts have a harder impact on the blaster, i like it, it is slightly better than the maverick i hit past the tree(about 50-55 feet away from my testing point outside my apartment) using the whistler, i am honestly impressed with nerf. I actually went by your review here when considering my next blaster to give my arsenal a reboot, its been about 4 years since i had a blaster in working condition, thanks for listening!

First blaster I ever picked up. I miss it though. It ended up messing up with the rotation mech, not rotating enough to fire. But while it worked it was a blast (pun intended)
Personally, the Strongarm is my favorite. The thing fires incredibly fast for its size, and it can make very easy long-range doubletaps for those of you who play Shields.
i just got this today as a souvenir from my dad and I LOVE ITTT!!!
When I saw this video I thought, "I HAVE to get this gun." Two hours later I'm driving home with it on my lap. It's SO strong and good looking. Glad I got it. Thanks for the great video, Drac!
The Maverick is the icon of Nerf. This one is the next generation of the Maverick. And it still has the old school look of the maverick with a modern paintjob and top Nerf technology.

That's cool that someone else loves the Mavericks as much as I do. Seems like everyone I talk to hates them, but can never give me a clear reason why. They're great little sidearms. Can't wait to play around with a Strongarm!
I got this for my birthday last Sunday and instantly noticed that this is the most kickass Nerf gun ever.
It's much more. It's got the Elite range and darts, the Raider's slam-fire, the Spectre's cylinder and outer design, and the Maverick's simplicity and capacity.
I adore my Stryfe and I'm looking forward to modding it fully. But the Strongarm is looking really good.
You are never too old for Nerf. My dad loves nerf and he is 40-something!

Lol I totally recked some guys at a nerf war with my Maverick and stryfe while everyone else was using tons of strongarms it was so fun &I my brother has a strongarm and my modded maverick that only had the ar plastic pins and ar spring removed and a slight spring stretch my Mac shoots way further and harder

Yes, Speedload 6 is a Slamfire pistol.
But, It's a dart tag pistol, and it jammed quite often while slam firing, however there aren't any reports of it jamming often on single fire.
Man I want this one! Good thing I watched this video, because I did not know about some of these improvements!
If you live in UK I believe, grey tigger versions of the blasters are sold. These versions aren't as powerful to accomodate for the country's safety guidelines
You just summed up everything I need to know about a blaster in one comment, well done. By the way, can you do a quick review in this style of the triad. I was thinking about sidearms to get but I don't have very much pocket cash so I figured I could get a triad and just mod the living crap out of it. Thanks for your time.
Old video, but question relevant. We know that Strongarm cylinders are shorther than Maverick ones; but are they also thinner, or do they have similar radius betwen axis and plunger aperture?
My fist two nerf guns were fiefs trick and the one the only strong arm it is my fave springer pistol by far
The maverick is the og, I’ve got four or five of those, they are just such reliable, easy to use guns, but I did get two strong arms, and to be honest, it’s pretty much an exact replica, but it’s a little more convenient because of the length of the gun, and how much easier to use it is, I remember not being able to pull back the maverick, but that isn’t much of a problem for the strongarm

Hate to be picky, but the Retaliator does not have slamfire. So this truly is the first pistol with slamfire.
just a little thing, there is a little button under the centre of the barrel when it's dropped, and when you press thet, you can prime it and fire and see very good that it comes forward.
Drac I totally agree that the maverick is the best gun to start with. My first mod was taking out my maverick's ARs yet sadly it did not survive.and now is being upgraded to a prop gun and will be revealed when done but I still replaced it with the fire fury

My first Nerf gun was a NERF Pyragon, a Christmas present form a friend who was spoilt. I guess we all love pressies from spoilt relatives
Someone else informed me that the nerf combo set like thing is called the Unity Power System its a 3 in 1 blaster with the scout the titan and the hornet. You can buy these separately or buy them as a toys R us exclusive. Personally a lot of non modded buzz bee guns shoot pretty decently. Buzz bee line has 5 guns that can combine in different ways. one of them is the Maniac
and then Mech 20 or Automatic 20 i cant remember.
Actually, it's called the Unity Power System, the Titan is just the rocket launcher part.

if you look hard enough, you'll find a review somewhere. they would basically come up with two or three blasters that linked up together

The pressure seal on the trigger pull is like the Nagant revolver, that's why it could be suppressed.

my first nerf gun was the nitefinder and my first mod was a doublestrike that I later painted noob flat black with 97 cent paint from home depot. I've gotten better since then:).
I used to hate rotating barrel nerf guns until I got out my first nerf gun which is the maverick and saw how good it was so now I'm probably gonna get the strong arm
My first was the recon, latest The Lawbringer. The Lawbringer is the closest thing to a hammershot in my area
you would probably not even have to widen the holes, and if you did, i think the foam on the plunger would still keep the seal if the hole you made was still small enough for the foam pad to surround it
The plastic tips are nice and rubbery, the only way I can see it causing damage is by like knocking a cup off a table or something.
I don't know what makes Nerf revolvers fun, but they are.
Just opened my strongarm. Workds great. Slamfire is ace. I will still use the maverik though cos I like my whistler darts. Tac rail placing is a definat3 improvement.

I just got this it is my favorite nerf gun i have then agian i anly have the roughcutt and the firestrike but i get 50 -60 feet flat and 70 - 80 feet with a slight arch. AWESOME BLASTER
My friend said recently he may give me his maverick or magstrike, he said "If I give you the maverick, you're going to need to seriously mod it." Totally agreed, if he does pass it to me I'll be taking out the ARs

I think that when nerf listen to the community, they come up with some awesome blasters! Saying this, do you think they will start to do combo blasters in the future? Buzzbee tried this, but it failed, so i think nref have a good chance. They could build something like your spartan shot but have the blaster attach and detach on an under-mounted tactical rail. Time to start making some use of these under-mounted tactical rails.

I would just like to point out that you are wrong with the air re-stricter being incorporated into the plunger tube, that is dry fire protection.

Only issue with the titan is that you have to order online for a second missile. Good thing the missile is tough as nails compared to regular darts.
Maverick is my 1st Nerf, 'bout $10 new, with a Buzz Bee Jaguar. Then I saw this vid... Strongarm's only 12.88, gotta have one also.. was just gonna get one blaster, it's all Drac's fault that I'm a Nerf-nerd now!

I respect peoples' opinions about the Maverick, but to be honest, this is my favorite blaster. it was my first (and currently still my only one) MODERN nerf gun a(the others were dart tag) I also like it because of slam fire. I can fire like a full auto with it and it in addition is easy to hold still
I just realized that since its just dart posts and not an AR, u could do a rear loading mod with it!

@pascalez while you may enjoy carrying a twenty pound gun as a pistol I prefer a maverick or spectre for its size capacity and easily capable potential. And the strongarm has given us who like these guns the best of both. Happy new years no harsh feelings

mavs are so damn reliable, its scary. i loved my mav. i modded it to were it wouldnt fire darts, but upon pulling the trigger, it would make a loud crack, like a 22 rifle
It intentionally could not fire darts, even loaded. I modded it for stuff like cosplay and youtube videos
+Ryan Marks nope, i rotated one part of the plunger tube, and drilled small holes in places in the shell so the air could escape better

Hey Drac. Have you ever heard of a problem with the StrongArm NOT firing? The dart will not fully leave the barrel and get caught in the muzzle as the barrel rotates. It's like there's little, to no air moving the through the plunger. I have 1 StrongArm, 1 Eltie Jolt and 2 Triads that all are doing the same thing after only a week! The only commonality is that they have all sat for a week loaded but not cocked. Thanks!

Nerf has a combo blaster its i believe its called the big bad Titan. Also Buzz bee's combos did not flop. They are bought quite frequently
Finally got a Strongarm here in the UK. My god it's scary, and to think that the Maverick supposedly had a 4kg spring (according to nerf.wikia.com).
If you were to drill through the back of the cylinder in the strong arm, could you rear load it and still have it fire?

hey drag, i did a drop barrel mod on my maverick, but it is really unstable now when the barrel is out. it still works fine, but i would like to know if there is a way to stabilise the barrel

i watched dracs review of one and it didnt seem all too impressive. I would really like to see nerf do an N-strike combo line :) also you are thinking of the big bad bow and the titan lol i meant like blasters you could buy separately and put onto any blaster by the way :)
hay it does because a 44.magnum the barrel drops left like a maverick rev-6 , the strongarm , and specter because both nerf and hasbro desind them to be magnum's and 1 more each the maverick , strongarm , and specter all have a 6 round before reloading. I know this for owning a maverick myself , playing COD:black ops 2 and MW 3, and waching lord drac the nerf vamp.

Sam unwin you have to take out the stick in every bullet hole and then it will fit the orange bullets.

My friend's little brother had one of these, and he got offended by me and my friend playing fake Russian Roulette, so he put it to his head 3 times. Apparently, his mom got super pissed at him, and threw the gun in the trash can. AND IT WASN'T EVEN LOADED!!!!

whats the point of getting the elite alpha trooper if you already have a regular alpha trooper then you just go out and buy elite darts, sorry if I mistake this but don't take it wrong I love Nerf guns.
