I was taught this is a half herringbone stitch. I do love it whatever it’s called! I made my son a scarf using 100% cotton yarn. He loves it!

This is double crochet US way. At first you said hdc. Haven't seen any in this pattern. I saw another version of herringbone pretty sure it's different. Whatever. Nice looking cloth tho.
