"Outside of my niche community within a niche community, nobody gives a shit about what I am doing and..... There's beauty in that."
What a beautiful outlook to doing what you love for the sake of passion vs fame and glory.

less time balancing on top of line, but rather more time as a gymnastic routine not dissimilar to uneven bars, which is interesting to note that only women utilize uneven bars in competition

"Freestyle looked like a fish flopping out of water" this feels like you're not giving credit to those who came before and invented/developed tricks which are the foundation for a lot of your combos. Freestyle has had so many sick individuals who have committed time to the sport before you and it's kinda sad that you skimmed over the roots of it like that.

I can assure you that both Ian and I (Justin) have the utmost respect for those that came before us: Sam Volery, Anthony Boulay, Friedi Kuhne, Zac Timmons, and many more. Here we are trying to emphasize the undeniable aesthetic change that Ian's style brought to the game.
Filmmaking is hard. Hundreds of hours go into even a short film like this between travelling, storyboarding, filming, and of course editing. There are only maybe 2 or 3 people that are making longer films in slacklining right now and we are certainly not making any money off of it - we are doing our best to put out content that inspires the rest of the community. You're absolutely right that there's a story to be told about the earlier roots of freestyle. But I hope you can step back and appreciate that although it's by no means perfect, we took the time to put this content out for viewers like you.

@@TricklineCollective not trying to have a go at ian or your videos, really respect the effort you put into trickline collective and the affect its had on the community. Just wanted to mention the OGs is all.
