Thanks so much! I’m taking an IT class and I tried doing this on my own before I looked at this video. My method didn’t work, but this did and now I don’t know what to do with this knowledge
Great job! Glad I can spread the knowledge! Hopefully you followed as well :)
Good work on this - Batch files are a lost art.
I have been using for years, but recently my Excel tasks come back in the following instance with "FILE LOCKED by NAME" not the user name I assigned in TASK SCHED Any clues ? Unlocking is a pain... Maybe you know the command to select NOTIFY in the .BAT file on the open Prompt.
Very simple and helpful, thank you!
Thanks for the content
Helped me a lot buddy
you went through explaining the task scheduler just for your specific sitation, while skipping on the other options that might be interesting for other folks like me

if i wanted to schedule a web page to be opened once every 60 minutes, how would i do that?
Can we do this in git lab?
Can I get Task Scheduler to trigger one press on the spacebar please?
lmao
If you're scheduling a task that runs repeatedly.. how do you make it so that it you don't see that pesky window pop up every 5 minutes? I've set the 'Run with highest privileges and hidden' but no luck.
I'm trying to stop the windows update that is always running (99% cpu) but never stops:
schtasks /create /tn "MyTask" /sc minute /mo 5 /tr " c:\temp\my_batch_file
Where the bat file has:
taskkill /f /im tiworker_exe
taskkill /f /im trustedinstaller_exe
rem taskkill /PID 8988 /F
Unfortunately it can't find "schtasks".
Also, how do you remove the task from the scheduler? schtasks /delete /tn "MyTask" doesn't seem to work either.
Yep, this kind of video really dnt help, just basic trash. Use System Scheduler Pro instead.
How to close a batch script using task scheduler
You will run into MAAAANY issues with running batch files like that via scheduler. I doubt any command will work.
