She have over the past years expressed many times she wanted to do more as herself like others, but was restricted by the company. Although very famous, she was never alaowe3to explore as an artist. Kpop companies and entertainment industry are very shady and controlling. The only reason they have given her a solo is she could renew her contract with them although they gave her the bare minimum for years and she wanted to leave. All in all, late is better than nothing
