55:10 I can confirm that it's Joplin Missouri, because I live there. Yes there were one pocket tables with only two pockets. But sadly they aren't around anymore. The last poolhall that had one closed down.
man watching efren at the end almost brought tears to my eyes. Guys who win boatloads of tournaments are usually cocky or very proud, especially at his age (no offense but see Earl). But from his expression you can tell he's just thanking God everyday for another chance to play the game he loves
Here in the Philippines, we grew up playing Straight 15 Ball rotation. Well, you have to start at 1 ball, you can play safeties, spot if you don't have a shot, carom, combinations. Balls pocketed starting from number 1 ( and any balls pocketed legally) total it up and who reaches 61 count wins. It'll make you more skillful moving the Cue Ball around with all that heavy traffic. So when you play 9 Balls, that's 6 balls less, Boy, much easier to play 9B
Thank you TheActionReport for posting this video. Excellent game. The commentators were fun too. Efren is just incredible. Even when he makes "mistakes" there's fun watching him fix it back, and then win the game. Chris is an excellent and competitive player, difficult to beat. It's just that Efren is relentless and is very good at solving problems.
Great play and even greater commentary by Billy (traditional / percentage play) and Corey (creative / offensive play). These guys should do a whole lot of more commenting on one pocket games.
Every time I see this video I learn something new about one pocket and and I love that the way these guy's personalities clash at first and all seem to come together towards the ending. What a riot I mean really good. Hilarious
One pocket is the game efren's game you have bring a lot of patience and the magician always brought a sacks of patience no one can beat efren on that virtues PATIENCE
I'm really tired of hearing whether the commentators "liked" a player's shot or not. Who's playing the game and who isn't playing? Simply comment on teh game situation. No one cares whether "you" liked their shot or not.
Because Gentile's intention for that shot was to pocket the 7 ball near Efren's pocket. If he was not able to pocket that 7 ball, then Efren will have chance to pocket that ball and finish the game considering it was already an open table. As you can see, after that shot, Efren has no easy shot on the table. Indeed it was a great shot!
Commentators some times were behaving themselves like unprofessionals but we all know they are the coolest in the business and one more they really have a humor, I really enjoyed Corey's silly evaluations even though I know he is monster in pool, about Billy I can say he is the best with Danny Dillaberto. On this particular match with Corey he was joking all the time but he is was good I liked it... Frost is cool player and nice at commentating
@miguelchua Yeah, its only the second hardest game after banks. 9-ball is the kids game. By the way either guy in the video could run over you like a truck playing anything.
Listening to these announcers……”Man, I didn’t like that shot…that wasn’t the right shot that Efren just did……Nope, I didn’t like THAT shot……Reyes isn’t doing well, he’s not making the shots that I WOULD!” Well, guess what guys…when you get as good as Efren, you can say that. I don’t see you out there beating him.
I’m pretty sure two of ‘those guys’ have beat Efren before, not that it means anything. How about when you get as good at playing or commentating as those guys...
Commentary is falling down for more than just the sniffles. When a player spots a ball, they should mention why. When a player puts a coin on the table, mention why. This is not your most common game in pool. They talk the rules in football and baseball, why not pool? Well, they don't give a crap, and it shows There's a lack of money in televised pool because the camera work is amateur, and the commentary sadly lacking in information for their audience, and it's a strategy for decline. If they want more tv revenue in pool, train announcers to provide the audience with basic information, and improve camera work. Who's in charge:? Some goon from the Mafia?
That game was so boring Efren Bata Reyes lost his brilliance ages ago along with his mouthpiece or falseteeth whatever it is doesnt matter. Its not an action sport so dont expect much from the people who calls the shots okay...
55:10 I can confirm that it's Joplin Missouri, because I live there. Yes there were one pocket tables with only two pockets. But sadly they aren't around anymore. The last poolhall that had one closed down.
And here in 2023 he is still winning!
man watching efren at the end almost brought tears to my eyes. Guys who win boatloads of tournaments are usually cocky or very proud, especially at his age (no offense but see Earl). But from his expression you can tell he's just thanking God everyday for another chance to play the game he loves
Efren plays for his love of the game and especially when he's playing an opponent with the same level of Skills as his Pro Tour players.
Yes. His humility and dedication are amazing. Even at this age he kept winning tournaments. What a legend.
Which man?
Anyone looking to see how champions should act need only watch Efren Reyes.

Every time he wins, his explanation for winning is "I got lucky"...
Cant be lucky for over 3 decades lol
thank you allot TAR for sharing this US open one pocket videos series it has been a awesome learning experience for one pocket for me!
THE BEST PLAYER EVER: MR EFREN "BATA" REYES !
Every time I see this video I learn something new about one pocket and and I love that the way these guy's personalities clash at first and all seem to come together towards the ending. What a riot I mean really good. Hilarious
The luckiest man in the world EVER!! Always lucky for more than 30 years!
Didn't he say 'the more I practice the luckier I get?'
he got lucky again for the longest time. that's one lucky efren reyes, hahahaha. good job efren.
One pocket is the game efren's game you have bring a lot of patience and the magician always brought a sacks of patience no one can beat efren on that virtues PATIENCE
still the best in the world!
"I didn't think he was that good!" 59:40 This guy!!!
I'm really tired of hearing whether the commentators "liked" a player's shot or not. Who's playing the game and who isn't playing? Simply comment on teh game situation. No one cares whether "you" liked their shot or not.
It’s hard to listen to these commentators sounding like they know better than the Legendary Efren. Three stooges
i love coreys comment about how efren looks like the evil magician with his gotee lol. "he's got that, 'i came for the money' look" hahaha so right
I like Corey more after this video...he sees the craziest shots
Great commentary.
You forgot the sarcasm tag. /S 😉
Somebody please explain why one commentator says Gentile made a "great shot" at 48:11???
Because Gentile's intention for that shot was to pocket the 7 ball near Efren's pocket. If he was not able to pocket that 7 ball, then Efren will have chance to pocket that ball and finish the game considering it was already an open table. As you can see, after that shot, Efren has no easy shot on the table. Indeed it was a great shot!
Bill Incardona is the only person that should be commentating. He is the best in analyzing the possibilities/percentages of this game.
Commentators some times were behaving themselves like unprofessionals but we all know they are the coolest in the business and one more they really have a humor, I really enjoyed Corey's silly evaluations even though I know he is monster in pool, about Billy I can say he is the best with Danny Dillaberto. Ive seen this video way too many more times then I'd like to admit

Lol you're funny
Colorful commentary... keep second guessing guys, at least Corey knew he was witnessing sorcery... Reyes = Greatest Of All Time.
That's how frost is
Yes, the best ever.
@5:00... Efren scratches after pocketing the ball but only spots one...doesn't put a coin up. Am I wrong?
+trumanhw you're right, he didn't put a coin up however if you watch @9:25 he spots a ball after his inning.
you can tell hes so confused about what just happend when he scratches, that he forgets to put a coin up.
Man the commentary is killing me sounds like somebody has the sniffles!

I more complicated the game, the harder to beat efren
That shot at 42:11..... Crazy
I wish Corey and the lion could get on Joe Rogan!
That match had alot of resemblance to a Bank match.
I love billiards but this is as confusing as trying to understand Calvinball
It will improve your other games quickly
just like pool players calling "oh just do this, of course I would make it" from the sidelines already out. lol
You know there's something wrong when one commentator says to the others, "Have either of you guys been watching what's happening?" 😬
Really? 😒
1:27:10 lmfao talking about carrot cakes
those pockets are as tight as a prom date
dude are these guys getting high in the commentators booth
👍🏽
haha, " he's not telling you to say hello"
you want four opinions ?
ask three one pocket players
i got lucky! lol as always :D
Hey Corey how's your mom?
lol they can't stop taking the piss of Cory
Commentating 101
Here's a joke for u hard workers.wat did the Chinese lady name her triplets?watwentwong
I think Incardonia's ripped out of his gord
"could have, could have..." as if they were better than Efren Reyes, these commentators, hahahah
Whoever is scoring, he is not very good.😮😢
are these commentators stoned or what? :p
Had to mute the audio. 1 hour of old man sniffles and snorts is disgusting.
I’m back… Watching, learning and studying the game….Ugh, I wish Corey stfu… he’s talking like he can beat Efren !!!
I dont like this mode of pool.

if he blows his nost he might waste $10-$20 worth of powder out his nose
Haha as if that powder used in the player's hand is coccaine haha. Hand to nose and sniff hard then blow your nose hahaha

One pocket is boring as hell
