Yup and JC wasn’t “allowed” to release the actual music he wanted to release. There were over 22 songs that could have been on JC’s solo album but Jive wouldn’t allow them because they saw JC as a threat to their hand picked Golden boy being that JC’s original material was too “Urban” and similar to Timbersnake. Look at Beyoncé too! Why is it that when she was pushed to go solo all of a sudden all the major/ upcoming talented (and often more beautiful) Black female artists disappeared from competing against her commercially too?
