I'm a woman with long, but proportionally narrow feet. I bought these specifically because they fit more narrow. I normally wear a 9.5 men's shoe, and the size 10 fits perfectly. (So if you have narrow feet, you may not need a whole extra size, just a half-size like me.)
Seems a great shoe, except for the diagonal lace. The way that damn string is attached is amazingly discomfortable on the thumb. Also, they could have gone a bit forward with the lace itself, cause tou can't tie it tightly on the point
Hello friend... Amazing Review... where I live I don't have any Shoe Store ... Always have to buy Online (amazon)... Last shoes I bought was Asics Venture 6 ( 2019 ), I followed Instruction of Measuring my feet against a Wall using a piece of paper and a pencil to draw shape of barefoot, It was 24.5 cm then Instruction says to Add 1.5 cm for Running Shoes, so 24.5 + 1.5 = 26 cm so I bough Asics venture size 8 us men... They were Perfect fit.... What size "Us" did you buy your "salomon XA pro 3d v8"??? How many centimeters does you foot measure on piece of paper???
Thank you! So these ones are size US 10. It is really hard to tell with the sizes though, because some shoes/boots run smaller in the same size, some bigger. I buy everything from Amazon too, because it is easy to return if the sizing is bad.
Xa pro 3d is better for me. It is a very firm and stiff chassis. I enjoy it cause it is so consistent from carpet to scrambling up a loose hillside. I literally leave the quicklace at one spot and wear this shoe all year in the rain, as slippers, at work, in the 90 degree heat, and hiking every weekend. Best damn shoe ever made.
There’s actually wide size version for this shoe.

Salomon xa pro 3d v8 and Adidas Terrex Switch R2 GTX are my favourite shoes for hiking

no
Asymmetrical lacing system sucks. Don't know about the new, but the old durability sucked.
