LPC Loon Cam Both eggs hatched L1 goes for a swim with Dad ~ June 25, 2022

There is a lot of drama at this nest today. L2 has also hatched. There is less than 24 hrs difference in age but no doubt that L1 will be the more dominant of the 2 chicks. Dad will come and take L1 for its first swim while L2 is not ready. Mom will join L2 on the nest. You can see Mom has a fishing line on her beak but she grabs the egg shell from the nest and eats it so she can open her mouth for fishing etc. LPC will monitor her and if needs be will capture her and remove it.
