I swear you had 2 queens in that hive , one walked from the centre out to the right top corner direction and the one in the centre you zoomed in on . Lol my bad she back tracked ,didn’t notice it till after a couple of looks at it. Awesome videos btw . I like the way other bee keepers work with their hives, there is always something we can learn from one another no matter how long we been beekeeping.
Good question. I usually wait until I'm done with my hive inspection and then release her back in but minimum if you were in a hurry, I would say 2 minutes after marking
In my opinion white is the easiest to see so good choice. I also think as long as they are marked, and you keep track then you can tell if the hive has swarmed or superseded the other queen!
Hey Brandon! Great video. 2023 is BLUE. 2022 was yellow. You do a good service for new beekeepers!!
Thanks Andrew that means a lot to me! Also not to mention blue and yellow are easy to see so good choices 😎
2023 is red. White, Yellow, Red, Green, Blue. W-ill Y-ou R-aise G-ood B-ees.
@@rtxhoneybees Wow that’s a great saying! Wish I wasn’t color blind so I could use red and green also!
@@brandonsbees1 Then you should use whatever color you can see. Take care.
I marked a couple queens this year, the red is kind of difficult to see. I like the white and yellow the best, so much more brighter.

So cool seeing the queen bee up close! It’s gonna be a lot easier seeing her with a dot on her back!😍
Hardest part is finding her first! But yes I agree 😁
This is so awesome!!! Love seeing her up close ❤
Thank you!
Best way! How long is best to let the queen wait until marker is dry?

I just do white so I can see her every time . I keep
