@@TheSJamG i want to keep the box inside the glove compartment since i have got the hidden compartment on the passenger side dash. But the oem lvds cable is too short to extend it to the glove compartment. How did you extend the oem lvds cable from the head unit?
Hi Jamie. I watched another RUclips installation and regarding the low aux volume... if you go into the IDrive aux tick box and click through, you can increase the volume of the aux input from 0 to 20.
I’m so glad my 2017 Countryman S came with the tech package (full touch). All I had to do was code it in.

Hey, thanks for the video, I was able to install mine incredibly quickly because of the help of your video. Quick question, did you find the audio quality for music to be better when using the USB input? (assuming you've attached that wire). I'm just trying to work out if audio quality is better via usb or the wifi option, and, if it is altogether better via either usb/bluetooth using the original IDrive system. I'm probably just imagining it, and I have changed the EQ which seemed to help, but I just don't know if music is *as* good quality as it was before. Would be interesting to hear what you've found.

I have an issue with the smart box, it getting slow after short time of using waze or google maps and sometimes the box stops and i can't do anything :( , any idea of the reason of this issue, please? thx again and keep going man :)
Glad you like the videos and thanks for the support. Have you tried a factory reset of your iphone? I had a similar issue but once a reset back to factory settings, it seemed to resolve itself. Could try a reset of the Carplay box itself (just to make sure)...also what about the jumper settings - are they all correct?

Okey, i didn't try a factory reset for both (box + phone), i will try a rest of the box and update it with the latest frimware and let's see if it works ;)

hehehe, I knew when the light came on you had dropped something. Soooo, did you put the gloves on to stop your blood dripping all over your interior? Great video bud.
You bet - haha! I’ll not tell you how long I spent searching for that clip for the air vent....and it was from the second time taking it off - i swore a lot at that bit!!
Gloves were a godsend...I really need to get some black latex work gloves as I seem to hurt myself all the time!!
Hey Jamie, great video. Do u know if this product will work with a cooper s f56 2019 model that has enavevo aka entrynav2? mine is the 6.5 inch touch screen visual boost but i dont seem to have the aux sound option? not sure if this would work?
Hey Sean. Thanks - I think it would but best check with the seller on AliExpress - I messaged them to check it fitted with my spec of headunit and actually had selected the wrong one - luckily they hadn’t dispatched it yet and sent me a link to the correct one and sent that one instead. Hope that helps!
Where can you put the box when you have a secret compartment where you installed your box?
Can you remove the compartment inside and mount it above it - not sure there would be enough space below it if you have the same metal brace? An alternative would be to mount it vertical in front of the head unit (down behind the AC controls) or if the wires are long enough: under the passenger seat?
You can still put it behind I rested mine on the glove box I just pushed it further back so I can still use my compartment

Hi I just installed my CarPlay and it was working for a few minutes but then I tried to connect to the iPhone screen link where it just froze and when i tried to restart it , it wouldn’t come back. Please help I’m so sad and frustrated as I spent soo much time and money but idk why this happened
Just got a question, dunno if I've missed it out in the video but did you show where you wired out the usb port out from? So can access carplay via cable
Hi. At the back of the glovebox, there is a hatch , if you open that and feed the cable down into the glovebox, you can use the cable from there

Thanks. It’s still going ok, but finding that I’m using CarPlay with the phone plugged in most of the time instead of wireless and when I do need wireless … I need to re-pair it which is annoying.
Apart from that, all good. I’ll do an update video soon.

I have a Kit like this, that i am not using.If anyone is interested, they can contact me.I will ship only to the USA.The brand is JoyeAuto Technology.With my Kit> Touch Screen & OEM Mic & OEM rear camera & OEM USB will not work.The Kit comes inclusive of its own Mic & USB port, will need to buy a RetroFit Camera and cable it towards it in the front.
