ah that's simple. If you are braking normally; right foot for both brake and accelerator, you can only do one at a time so you have to stop braking as you turn into the corner to get back on to the throttle. With left foot braking you can hold the brakes on while you go into the corner which will transfer some of the cars weight onto the front wheels giving them extra grip and therefore reducing understeer.
Yeah, there's a big difference between rocking up on a track day and actually racing in a sanctioned series. Track days are awesome, but not very competitive. It's also not very practical for most. The nearest track from me is 5 hours drive away on a decent day, with traffic far worse. The best track near me is Phillip Island, which means a ferry. When you factor in accommodation, petrol, food, transport and gear that's a lot more than $120.
Even track days are expensive as hell. Dependant on country, they are quite hard to get into as well. The problem becomes then a lack of competition. you can hotlap on a track day, but you don't get to race anyone.
Got it sorted :) Was already using eyefinity. It was the manual fov to 27 that sorted me. The ingame 35 minimum fov was to far away causing the image to bend but all good.
Only in video games is a Capri turbo this fast haha. Pretty awesome though! I've never gotten my rFactor to look this smooth either and I have 16GB RAM with 1GB video memory with everything maxed out. Must just be the shutter rate of the GoPro that smooths out the jerky feel.
Make your graphic card settings override the ingame settings. If you have a modern card, you can get much smoother gameplay than relying on the ingame stuff like AA settings,,etc.

If only I could buy a steering wheel (and a racing seat) for my computer to play rFactor (and Project CARS or Assetto Corsa when I buy/download them) because I'm having trouble with handling ALL THE TIME. But that's easily said than done because they're too expensive (300-600 BAM or around $180-370 for a wheel and gearbox; 1000 BAM or $610 for the whole setup). I only steer with a keyboard because that's all I have because neither of them support mouse steering. I try to steer the best I can and I can still BARELY complete AT LEAST TWO LAPS without crashing and it's ALWAYS ME who is crashing in both games LOL
PowerMagika I wouldn't say gran turismo is the best driving sim but it is pretty damn impressive for a console game. gran turismo 6 added much more feel to the driving. you can feel the understeer, oversteer, tire grip, every bump on the track and the downforce. of course gran turismo seems like an arcade game if you play without a proper wheel, but calling it an arcade game confuses people. every other racing game now days is usually an arcade game but I haven't been able to find a game on console which is better than GT6. they have been working on the games for more than 15 years now and they have that GT academy thing going which is pretty cool. what's great about gran turismo is that the creator of the game is very passionate about motorsport. sure, some people think forza is a sim too, but even if it were or weren't it's not like the guy that created that game is a professional driver who participated in the 24 hours nurburgring race like Kaz. gran turismo is a great influence to motorsport whether if you believe it to be a sim or not. sure it's not perfect, but they're doing most of it right. if they weren't, then the game would have died a long time ago. however, I would really like to take it to the next level and try rFactor. not everyone can do sim racing on PC so I think gran turismo is the next best thing for the console guys.

Well, I say that because he hits the rev-limiter a lot. It's not bad, just, I think he could get a bit more performance by shifting earlier.
