my dad had one in the 50s & 60s, LAD 958 in satin bronze & fitted with a 6354 perkins with a chrysler airflow g/box & o/drive, 33 mpg for a 2 ton + car in those days was pretty good.

Lovely Humber, I’ve just seen this very Car on the John Peel Classic Cars programme from the 1990’s- early 2000 👌🏽😊

Very popular taxi at Newquay railway station in the 1950's beloved by the Drivers and customers for two small rear facing seats. Could accommodate families in a single trip. Smooth, quiet quality car.

Is it the same as Wesley Pegdon had one?
Why did no one tell the captain on the bridge that a one of the trailer wheel was flat?

I can't believe that steam-roller is legal to drive on the roads. The Humber car reminds me of an American Packard. It's a superb and elegant design.

This actual car was registered in my home town of Hastings, Sx. UK. And was in all probability supplied by the now defunct Local Rootes garage: Jarretts Motors, who were located in Silverhill. According to DVLA, the car is still in regular use.

Whoops ! Just noticed the "Langney Motors" of Eastbourne sticker on, the fascia of this beaut. As a kid, my uncle had a shooting break, (Woodie) of this model.

A superb example of its type. I always thought Humber cars were a cut and more above the competition for style and comfort in their executive class motors. Sorry, but I like the car more than the steam engine.

The dog in the first carriage of the traction engine group does not seem to be very thrilled.

Beautiful car. Off topic but I think steam rollers, and such should be banned off the roads. I wonder how many crashes have been caused by frustrated drivers trying to overtake.

Like those shown in the video - breaking the law by overtaking in the "no overtaking" zone of a pedestrian crossing?
