This cute little lass already has ear-finger coordination which is one of the chief winning ingredients to becoming an excellent trumpeter. Good performance for her size and years. It's difficult to play without actually holding the instrument. She has however mastered the technique.

I play the trumpet, and I gotta say, for a 3 year old (not sure exact age, just going by what the comments say), THAT IS AMAZING!!! Imagine, if she keeps playing the trumpet how great she'll sound when she's in sixth grade or something!
Rafael Mendez started the trumpet at 5, so we can imagine how incredible she can become. But that's a long way. A lot of work. And nothing says that she will always be passionated by her instrument.
Why does their age matter? And besides they like it more because it is more impressive and entertaining to watch someone under who is like 5 do something like this.
Andrew Berry its really not more impressive and entertaining all its saying is "im gonna play better and play better music in the future" rather than "i can play this extremely well and everyone loves the music i choose to play"
well i'm not saying older kids shouldn't get the recognition they deserve,but if you ask me its pretty nice that such a young kid could play a full song like that.
Of course her tone is bad. She's 4. She has to play pinched because the mouthpiece is a swimming pool compared to her lips. I was more fascinated she could tell which pitches to play. My only concern is her embouchure placement. She's going to grow up with one stronger side than the other and have to do "trumpet rehab" to re learn properly like I did.. Not fun. But bravo!!
