Very good explanation and guidance for choosing rod .but I prefer if you could give examples of choices for us beginners.
I mean if a beginner want to fish at a shore it’s excellent if you choose a rod with this specifications.and a reel with this specs.
And it’s very good with this so and so specs.
This will be easy for beginners to buy .
Also for boat casting or jigging.
And I have notice you have forgot to mention that there’s a rod for spinning reel and for surf reel.

Can we used shore jigging rod for casting purpose also? Because i saw videos they are saying casting rod not good for jigging but in jigging rod you can cast and you can jig is that actual?

I have a mitchell avocet salt Jigging rod lenght : 2.7m / Power 20-60gr im using it for shore jigging.. and im using a lure weights btw 30 & 40 g.. need to ask you how much the braid and the leader line should be? the reel that used is seaknight 5000 , MAX drag 13 kg / 11 bb. thank you

I want to buy a #3m / 30~60g casting weight / #10-30lb line rod for shore jigging.
As you said Fast action is good for fast jigging.
Sometimes I would like to fish slow jigging style with this rod. Do you think that a Fast action is also ok for shore slow jigging? Or would it be better to choose a Reg Fast rod to fish both fast and slow jigging?

Slow jigging doesn’t mean that you are going to play it slow, the idea is to give more time for slow fall, as slow jigs have different falling pattern. Soon there will be video about it
How did u calculate how many grams the line is giving to ther rod ? What is the formula linked with the line diameter and the length in water ?

Till now i broke the tip of my white bird Rod (4-14g) twice, because of the fish that i cough using it.
The line is good(0.8) , leader 12 lb, Jig 10g , reel 2000-2500, drag set medium to light, light fishing set.
But the fish more then 3-4 Kg, what should i had done to avoid injury to my Rod?
3-4 kg is a very good size for that rod, so you have to minimize the tension when near shore and use net or lip grip as fast as possible to avoid big pressure on rod when bringing out

Depending on action and of the rod and and types of guides number might be different
Which is good for shore jigging Tubular or Solid tip rod?
If we for microjig max 10-15g Solid might be a better choice for sensitive bites. But for heavier game it is mostly tubular
