I've watched many great badminton players iver the past decades, they were great, mostly well built and tall. TTY is a class of her own. In 60 years watching badminton none came close to her. Her skills and style of play is very enjoyable and entertaining to watch. He skills and deceptions are endless. I dare say there will be no players could match her style and fluence in the next 20-30 years, at least not from current players. She's Badminton phenomenon and hard to copy. At her best time, watching her play for hours seems like few minutes as you expect more and more of her plays. Chen Yi Fei is among the best today yet she's always outclassed by TTY. TTY is still entertaining and addicting even when she loses. Her style, precisions, determinations, unending resourcefulness is like a genius of chess, software programmer, magicians, ballerina, composer, dancer, martial artist all put together into one TTY. She's a genius. Perhaps her education (being a doctorate holder) played some major part in her analysis and deliveries of every shots she makes. Yet above all these not even one iota of moments did she irritate and annoyed other players, always smiling and very humble even in her biggest winnings makes her special in almost every sense of words. I will certainly miss this player when she decide to retire one day. I hope Chen Yu Fei will be the next phenomenon when TTY should retire early.

Tai Tzu Ying is a legend .A class of its own . None will come close . Not even Chen Yu Fei . What we see currently are replicate. Quick witted and deceptive shots are achieved at the very spur of the moments. That is what got her through the 192 wks as a champ. None of the current players can sustain the few weeks consecutively. She might not have won the Olympics which is the cream of her crops .....but she certainly have won lots of our hearts .
i couldnt agree more, as tennis playermyself, it's like watching femaile Roger federer, it its one of the kind that you know there will be one and only. when they retire we will miss them. they make their sports a plesure to watch. thank you

This badminton queen is just simply amazing. Only she has the complete repertoire of strokes which other female players generally lacked. If you give her time to play her strokes, you sure be a gonna in no time.

Hi ,thanks for the comment. It shud be TTY if follows her full name. but intentionally put TZY using just the last two names whr T represents Tai and Tzu simultaneously. 😀
@@dlbadmintonchannel1167 - Oh. Hmm...to be honest, that’s as confusing to me as people calling her ‘Tai Tzu’ which just makes *no* sense! But regardless, thanks for your content on this channel. :)
@@handylingua I’ve noticed a lot of Indians say this, because I think many of them aren’t familiar with naming conventions of Chinese and Korean names. If anything, they should call her Tzu Ying since Tai is her family name. I think the abbreviation should be TTY, not TZY
@@forreal22 - YES! I’ve noticed too that most of the commenters making that rather inexplicable mistake have Indian screen names.
I remember seeing footage of TTY playing I think it was Saina Nehwal (?) somewhere in India (?). The tv coverage was Indian and on screen identified her as “Tai Tzu.” It was an unconventional setup with each player having their own cheering section, and Indian celebrities were in attendance. I wish I could find that video again....
