I wish he had stayed on longer to handle that with Steph as well. He'd have certainly given Thorne a good talking to. And Brooke wouldn't have been able to say a word to him.
But I suppose, the way they are writing this stuff, that they might have made Bill eventually fall prey to Brooke too (like his soon to be made up son).

Bill and Steph should have really paired up❤. Other than just being much more suited (than lame Eric)... Imagine all the mysteries they could have unravelled together lol. Oohh and they really could have given some world class insults to Brooke while they were at it 😂😂
It is odd that Thorne and Kimberly are having an entire conversation about lighthouses as a metaphor for healing from grief, with Thorne saying he has never seen a lighthouse in action, more than two years before the lighthouse scene in Italy.
It is perfect foreshadowing even though it can't possibly be intentional.

Why does Morgan think that when she is on her second trimester that she'd be safe from everyone? I wouldn't put it past Stephanie to hire a couple of men to take care of it, with "her name not being connected to this"

When I watch the Thorne-Kimberly scenes I keep getting taken out of them by the newfound knowledge that Ashley-Lyn Cafagna was 17 years old then. It’s too disturbing. Putting that aside, and ignoring my general distaste for the storyline, I actually think Thorne and Kimberly have a kind of chemistry. Certainly moreso than Brooke and Thorne. I did have a good laugh at Kimberly’s fawning over that picture, which looked like it came from the bargain bin at Home Goods. Tacky, cheap, and derivative: certainly Thorne could afford better. Then again, as we know, he has a taste for tacky and cheap 😂.
I absolutely love that Clarke and Morgan are so scared of Stephanie that Morgan feels the need to run out of town (ah, had she only gone and stayed there), and Clarke is convinced Stephanie can somehow access airport and Visa transactions and records in real time (in 2000, no less, before the age of Big Tech and the Patriot Act!). Stephanie, your magnificence is so apparent even your enemies must acknowledge it 👑.
Funniest line of the episode was Bill asking Stephanie if he should drop the pills off at her house, implying Eric knew about her plan. What a droll notion to imagine that Eric would actually help *solve* a problem instead of making them worse or creating them!
I loved that Steph called Bill (the one man who actually is her equal). And of course he came thru for her, no questions asked, same day. If she'd called Eric or even involved him, she'd first have to spend about 2 episodes trying to explain everything to his dense brain, and we'd still be waiting for Eric to actually come up with a useful solution.
I esp loved how Bill answered the phone in his usually gruff /dismissive way, and when he realised it was Steph, his whole tone and demeanour changed.
I really don't know why they never put those 2 together to give old Eric a run for his money..
And for all Clarke's bravado, he ain't stupid and he knows not to mess with the Queen. Steph can find and get to you anywhere lol. I will always remember her finding out that Eric was in Vegas proceeding with the divorce and she managed to drag her lawyer through a fogged in airport to somehow get to Vegas in time to stop everything lolol.

Great points! I agree there is _some_ kind of chemistry between Thorne and Kimberly (although they are not really a viable romantic pairing to me, for so many reasons). But at least in his interactions with Kimberly, Thorne comes across as somewhat human, whereas with Brooke he seems completely emotionless.
May I ask you all in this thread, if there is someone other than RM (only in bed scenes with him for me) that has some chemistry with KKL? Because I've always liked "her men" with someone else 😁.
If they wrote Thorne and Brooke a little less.. vile? I could have rooted for them. KKL and WH have fire chemistry. But their relationship is giving me brill a lil🥴

I cant even consider the pills for Morgan , it is really a sad thing only thinking about it. The writer here is doing is best to erase the old Stephanie.
The old Stephanie is more than capable of that and worse. If I remember right, when Angela and the doctor blackmailed Eric and Stephanie and they gave them money, Eric and Stephanie wondered what they would do if they came back and asked for more, and it was implied that they would unalive them. Of course they had to find a way to stop them from blackmailing them forever, but it still shows Stephanie (and Eric) were willing to got to extremes early on in the show, if backed in a corner.
How is making Morgan loose the baby going to save Taylor and Ridge….Ridge can’t reverse the deed.
The fact that Ridge slept with Morgan is bad enough baby or not.
I wondered about that too and my guess is that Stephanie thinks that without a baby, Morgan will be out of their life for good - and then it will be easier for Taylor to forgive Ridge for his betrayal (he was just gullible enough to be manipulated by Morgan, thanks to Morgan using Taylor's laptop).
I think Stephanie is hoping Ridge will never tell Taylor what happened.

Even though I can understand Stephanie's desperation, she is about to take steps that really strike me as out of character. This is simply too much, even for Stephanie. What she is about to do is inexcusable, regardless of the circumstances. It's something that Sheila Carter would do, but not something one would ever expect from a non-villain.
Yeah the writing for these characters really started to change for the worse around this time

Agreed, it is a disgraceful thing for “morality queen” Steph to contemplate doing, not to mention the hypocrisy. Hard to side with her at this point.
Oh Annie, I agree. I said something about Sheila to you in another post. That's not Stephanie. A writer can't treat Stephanie ( the leading character in senior writing) with this stuff. Strangling Brooke was also a great mistake. This junior writer had no boundaries or decencies.

At least she is no longer doing that lip- s m a c k i n g every other sentence like in the early seasons.

Brad Bell could of given us some fireworks! Stephanie and Eric are sorority and fraternity sister and brother, and loyalty means everything to the sorority and fraternity organization. Stephanie shouldn't have been the one to confront Morgan it should have been her sorority and fraternity sisters and brothers meeting Morgan to take Morgan back to the abortion clinic to have another abortion!

This what I mean Stephanie is complete BS this is an example of how she creates all the problems in her family. You don't deal with problems this way to protect even your own family. She is to blame for everything. If she just let Ridge tell Taylor the truth things would not have been so bad. Even in the earlier episodes when Brooke was married with Eric and was getting mixed feelings from Ridge she was pushing Brooke to go back to Ridge and then blames Brooke for being a slat for leaving Eric when the name belongs to her. She even faked a heart attack and played a big part in Brooke being rapped. How anyone can defend her is beyond me!!

Taylor's assessment of Morgan not being untrustworthy and dishonest is, of course, correct. However, her reasons for saying this, at this point in the storyline, are laughable. Ultimately, she's upset because Morgan won't share with her information that (taking what Taylor doesn't know out of the equation) is really none of her business. Harassing your friend for details that she wants to keep private, is problematic on so many levels. Even if Taylor has no real experience with friendship, she is a psychiatrist. She should know that this kind of intrusive behaviour isn't acceptable. It's what we'd expect from Brooke, not from her.
