I have one of those bags. I got it from Gowen Militaria some years back unfortunately he went out of business some years back due to poor health. This bag is an East German Army cargo bag for spare clothing and underwear for the soldier. It's usually stowed or carried in the company's supply trailer when the unit is in the field. The soldier carries his Sturmpack or assault pack with him stored in the squad's APC.
You could try some of the 'Dip &Grip' spray for coating various items. It might work for making that waterproof coating but it’s best if you can get that who,e bag turned inside out and then spraying the coating on the material.
@@scottysurvival I recall someone here on this platform redid the inside of his Alice Pack with a rubberized spray coating, I have a North Face rain jacket that is only six years old and the rubber lining in the hood is peeling off, was in the states last July and found small spray cans of this Dip and Grip spray, could not bring it back with me since TSA doesn’t like pressurized spray cans in checked in luggage. Hopefully on my next trip over will purchase a can and try it.
Hi Scotty, don't recall ever seeing one of those German Briefcase before. Nice that it has enough room for your kitchen kit. Cool hat too! Glad to see all is well. 👍🏻
It is. I cannot find much info on them. There is no other way to carry other than by the handle, but seems to be working good and built tough. Thanks for watching as always.🤗

Interesting I'm not sure if this stuff is impregnated or not, but some of the east German packs come with a vinyl inside

🤔🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂.
It’s fake bro it’s a reproduction rain drops going the wrong way
Possibly but the fabric and the NVA label inside it is original unless someone pieces fabric together
