In this Video we look at what the wires on a aftermarket stereo system means and how to hook them up to the car's stock harness properly. The procedure is the same for a double din or a single din system, whether it is a Sony, JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, Dual, Pyle, Jensen, Boss etc. We will also take a look at the rear view camera hook up options and Bluetooth mic hook up as well. I will make a part2 video to show how to install the unit in the dash of a 2006-2014 Kia Sedona.

instead of connecting to the cigarette lighter wire, can i connect to the red wire for my always on camera? if i do that, do i disconnect my connection to the reverse signal wire?

I bought it in crutchfield, you can also call them and they will make sure it's compatible.
Do I need to connect the reverse wire to the camera's red wire?
Your reverse wire needs 12v power from something that comes on when you put the car in reverse. Preferably the reverse tail light bulb or the bulb in the reverse shifter. Camera wire can also be powered by the reverse bulb wire.
@@JJCentral-DIY My car player is a Sony xav-v630bt. I have put the yellow pin in the right place but where should I put the red wire that goes with it in the player so that the camera starts automatically.
@@sushisingh175 look in your Sony manual and see what they call the red wire. It could be acc power, it could be reverse in, it could be camera signal. I don't know just from wire color

Believe it is a steering wheel volume track skip button control module input. You need to buy a separate module to hook up factory steering wheel buttons to the stereo unit.

Atanu Biswas you just need to collect the orange wire to another orange wire. All it does is gives the after market stereo the ability to dim the brightness along with the dash lights. If you don't connect it, the stereo brightness will always be high unless manually reduced. Hope that helps.
I've just finished wiring my harness, but I've got a bad feeling about it. The radio's harness' wire was a much smaller gauge than the metra harness', so I twisted, folded them back, then twisted again, then inserted them into the butt connector. They're holding firm after crimping; will this work? Also, I may have a few extending ever so slightly into the heatshrink, but not outside to the wire; they're not exposed. I haven't done any wiring since highschool, so I'm doing a bit of a rough job.
What if the deem is too low even you can't adjust the touch screen
Then get a double din model where the screen comes out and lifts up.

5:45 reverse in wire purple white. It usually is labeled.

Reviews state the blutooth is insanely spotty, but other than that I'm still highly interested and it's discounted at the moment. Should I go for it or not?
Bluetooth works perfectly. It depends on what phone I guess. What I don't like is the fact that you can't change background image of the unit.

Here’s the problem I’m having.when I start my car the head unit does not come on.I have to push the button for the head unit to work.that’s why I’m asking about the red and yellow wiring
@@freddavis3456 Put a multimeter on the red and yellow wire to make sure you are getting 12v constantly (red) and when the key is in on position (yellow). Also make sure your ground is working. May not be a bad idea to run an extra ground wire from the black wire to any bolt in the metal body of the car.

How i can connect Bluetooth without steering control
Bluetooth doesnot require steering control. You will just talk into your mic with voice recognition, "call Joe" and it should dial for you using google assistant or Siri from your phone.
